Tyrrell racing ran a 6-wheeler Formula One car in 1975-76. Don't have a real-car pic handy but here's a diecast replica of one... Link to ordering info -->http://www.awin1.com/awclick.p...=PD76

There was also a six-wheeler supercar which was road legal called the Panther 6. I had a picture of it but threw it out last year. It looked like an Aston Martin with 4 front wheels all the same size not smaller like the F1 car.

I can kinda' see what they're up to, though. The true golden age of the car was in the 50's. Cars back then were more than just functional, they were works of art. Nowadays, sure, they have style, but they're all very utilitarian by comparison. Honestly, I'd love to see some more unusual designs hit the market. I think that's why the Mini Cooper and the PT Cruiser are doing so well. I think people are beginning to look for something different... something eyecatching that doesn't require $6000 in aftermarket parts to create. If the Smarts ever hit the US, they could have the same potential (if the public can overcome their fear of being flattened by an 8 passenger SUV). BTW, you don't have to tell me how ugly the Smarts are. I'm fully aware. I'm just sayin' that I think the public is beginning to look for more unusual designs. (And have you seen the Smart Roadster cabrio? Makes a Mazda Miata look like a Ford Festiva! Spor-TY!)~ Z600
