Not sure I like much of any of it, but I sure don't like the goofy antenna sticking out in the front like that. The body style just doesn't look right to me. Just my $.02

So this is the Pontiac 'Toyota Corolla' 4-dr for Canada-only? IMHO, they should've called it a Chevy Prizm instead and made it look more like a Malibu. As it is, it looks like a bad cross between a Pontiac Sunfire and a Dodge Neon.Just noticed it has a 'Pioneer' subwoofer in the trunk. They ruined the dash. The white-face instrument looks odd. I see they used buttons for the cruise-control instead of the idiotic 'floating wand' of the Vibe.

The G6 has push-button cruise. Works nicely. And I like that a light goes on when you set a crusing speed. Makes more sense to me than a light going on just cause the cruise switch is on.I'm very peeved they just duped the back end of the G6 though...very unoriginal. Seems like they raided the Pontiac parts bin just to throw a car together last minute. It's nice and all, but very unoriginal. boooooooooooooo.

I don't mind the cruise stalk and really appreciate the cancel feature, but that stupid indicator... I'm from the school of thought that the only time one should see CRUISE lit up should be *when* the cruise is set. Makes it quite easy to know if it isn't set, or if the cruise had been disengaged. Most GM stuff has two separate indicators, one for the actual system being off or on, the other for when the cruise is actually set. Good idea. Take that idea plus the cancel feature and I'm happy. As far as the Pursuit goes... They did rip off the G6's (removed). But as a whole, it's a pretty decent looking car I guess. I like the interior, they didn't stray too far from the Cobalt's interior, which I think is pretty nice for a cheap car. Not sure why GM won't bring that car here, Pontiac needs a small sedan to fill in for the Sunfire. I can't see their plans working of the Vibe being the only small car they offer. Sunfire Coupe is still around, I think, but when that one goes, the Vibe will be the smallest. And it's still $20K. They need something else.

I'm led to believe the sunfire WILL be replaced...but they're not sure with what...Maybe the solstice is being considered it's replacement? Just can't say for sure now...GM is being awfully quiet about Pontiac lately...

I know! I wonder if *gasp* our beloved brand is next to go? The silence is mind boggling...I figured we'd also hear about the new upcoming Vibe by now for sure, aren't they supposed to be redesigning it for '06?hmm.... I'd hate to see Pontiac go! I'll probably have a Hyundai by then though. (removed)!

It may be, I do *think* I remember hearing 2006. BUT, that seems to be a bit too soon, I wouldn't think they would redesign something after 3 model years drastically. So maybe, the '05 has the changes that the '06 was supposed to get? I don't know!

The Pursuit is a Cobalt. They are made in Lordstown, integrated on the same line as the Cobalt. I saw a couple on the assembly line last week. Depending on the color, I think both the Pursuit and Cobalt are nice looking cars. I have not driven a Cobalt yet.

The silence is mind boggling...TICK TICK TICK...That's been my favorite GM conspiracy theory for a while now... ever since they discontinued a popular rental-car-standard (Grand-Am) and replaced it with much more expensive car (G6). It follows exactly what GM did with Oldsmobile - axed the rental-car-industry standard Olds A-body 'Cutlass Ciera', replaced it with more upscale and more expensive 'Cutlass' built off the Malibu/Century platform. They also considered renaming the brand to Aurora and then decided to kill it off. If GM decides tomorrow that an Indian tribe is too un-politically correct for its 'brand management' efforts, and tries to adopt a astronomical terms, all bets are off...(Stepping into deep announcer voice and cranking up the bass...) Was on a delivery to a Pontiac dealr yesterday and driving by the line-up of cars I spotted what turned out to be the new Pursuit and couldnt help but slip out and take a peek. They are nice but very compact...more than I thought actually. This one was black and had a duo-color interior.I still like my Vibe better........SMILE!!!!!! Sticker price was 17.6 or something.....
