I tried the one From Toyota (Matrix)....basically has 2 pieces of 2 way tape and is plastic ...very cheap, Does anyone have the rubber slab that GM sells? It looks very slim in the photos, I saw the one on the subaru AWD wagon and that one is perfect, I wonder is it will fit on the vibe! Suggestions and Ideas are welcome.
I don't have one but its one of the first things I am going to purchase...my list includesrear Bumper protector/mud flap/cargo net/seatback storage. My long term goal is to get a spoiler and the supercharger...anyhow on the bumber..I took a close look at the matrix version thats already installed in the matrix and I liked it...

Yes----Mine came with it installed .Sticker said dealer installed option, but salesman told me it came from the factory already installed and it was the first he had ever seen. Who ever put it on had a good eye,Prefectly centered and perfectely straight. It looks good and adds a finished touch. James
I just got my Rear Bumper Protector today and put it on. Here are some pics of it installed: http://nicksimkins.com/vibe/mods/vibe_nick_bumper1.jpghttp://nicksimkins.com/vibe/mods/vibe_n ... stallation was easy, but you have to take your time to make sure things are lined up evenly. The package comes with instructions and a template you tape to the bumper which helps you align the strip evenly, but I didn't use it. It was easier for me to measure, mark (lightly with a pencil), and stick it on.Once it's on, it's there for good.
I have it--not yet installed it. I ordered it from www.partszoneonline.com it is an official GM part too. I just haven't had the time to put it on yet.It looks good out of the box though......
Heather Proud vibe owner I'M DRIVING IT 'TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF! IT HAS SURVIVED ABUSE FROM A DUCK......A COYOTE...AN ARMADILLO...A HUGE DEER (NONE OF THEM WERE PETS EITHER ) ...AND A DAUGHTER....WHAT A CAR! 106K AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!!
i was just wondering what you used to place it on there?does it come with all needed supplies or is there a certain epoxy?i want to buy one and put it on myself, no use in paying someone for doing something i can easily do, and i trust my eye and measurments more.thankskeep vibin!
The bumper protector already has an adhesive on it. You just need to peel off some kind of wax paper to expose the adhesive and then press the protector in place on the bumper.
Thanks for posting those pictures, Nick. It really helps to see the protector on a vehicle. Since I'm driving an Abyss, I think the protector will blend in a little more. I've already got a scuff when a buddy of mine decided to use my bumper as her brace when she was doing up her snowboarding boots...
