Magellan Roadmate Mounting

Anyone have any good ideas on how to make a semi perminate mount of a Magellan Roadmate in the Vibe?

Prior to getting my AVIC-N1 I had the roadmate 700 in my VIBEI took the flex mount and bent it so I could keep it as close to the headliner as posible. I then put it up and to the left where you would have your oil change sticker. I thought I would have GPS signal problems but with the antenna where it is I had no problems at all, the only thing I didnt like was the power cord you would prob want to hardwire it.

By flex mount-do you mean the 12 inch or so windshield mount supplied with the 700?Thanks for the idea.

Yes just bend it in an S shape so the suction cup ends up behind the unit when put on the window.
