Well...sort of anyway. My parents signed for one tonight. It's freaken SWEET!G6 GTautomatic with manual shift modeStealth Metallic Gray (aka the color on all Pontiacs at auto shows)17" cast-aluminum ChromeTech wheelsOnStarin-dash 6 disc changerremote startpanoramic moonroof (the multi-panel one, it's freakin awesome!)basically, fully loaded except for XM. My dad wanted it badly, but there were no G6 models in all of NJ with XM in it, and he has one week to use his GM card bonus points and whatnot, so he let go of that dream...Anyway, we pick it up thursday night, and OF COURSE, there will be pics!!!!OOooooooooooooooooh...I'm SO excited! Congrats on the addition to the family, Mike! I wonder who is more excited about it, you or your parents? So did they make any arrangements yet to have the dashboard secured behind steel mesh to keep you from tinkering with all the interior components?

LOL!I was there when we signed the papers, I said to my dad we could always add XM after. Dealer goes "be careful what you add to the car!"I was like "don't worry, I promise I won't put an intake in."This car definitely would look hot with some HIDs though!

lol. He don't know you very well now, do he? You'll have to let us know all about your likes and dislikes of it after your family's had it for a month or so. Have fun! New cars are always so much fun.

Lemme see now, HID's, CAI, Catback, springs, XM... yeah, that oughta do it.Then NEXT week... rip out the 6-disc changer and replace it with something better, yank out the speakers & upgrade them, re-jigger the OnStar to phish for free phone calls, re-flash the ECU to raise the manual shift points...LOLI'll bet you had/have that G-6 apart before the ink was/is dry on the paperwork!I'll bet your parents are thrilled with their new toy too!

Well, we haven't taken ownership yet, it's in the "prep" stages, but I'll be a tinkerin, that's for sure!My dad already said if he can't get the dealer to put in a factory XM unit in the shop, he might even let me install an a/m receiver for him...PSSSSH!He'd be crazy not to!

Very cool man... *thumbing through the G6 book I snagged at the dealer* *Drool!* lol!Although you had me scared there for a sec - Raging's leaving!!!??? Dial-up keeps one in suspense! Definitely keep us posted on the goods and bads of that car. It's a cool car to say the least! Please, please, lots of pics - especiall of the roof! I've only found a few base with no roof and a GT with the standard roof. Have yet to see one of those funky roofs on one of 'em yet...

All I can say Mike is its a completely different car from your Vibe, a lot more wires so before you go hacking, educate yourself VERY well lol.But enjoy! I'm jealous.

Good point there, Mavrik. And no taking out the radio, after reading the owner's manual to the G6, I wonder if the thing will even run without it installed. lol!

That radio is mega-integrated...If we do an XM install, it'll be via inline FM modulation...simple and harmless...Don't worry, there are NO plans to touch their car...at least not without a service manual...

Saw a couple of G6's at the Indianapolis auto show today. Nice, but pricey. I guess they figure 8- to 10-year GMAC financing must be just around the corner with a sticker well north of $23,000.Only the G6 on the display stand featured the multi-part sunroof panels. The infobabe telling about the car never demoed the roof! Boo.

Turns out the dealer had a scheduling snaffoo, and asked us if it would be a problem to pick up the car tonight (what a damn shame! . It's on it's way home now (I got stuck at work, didn't get the luxury of picking it up) so look for pictures TONIGHT!

Sadly, my digital camera SUCKS and most of the shots I took tonight came out blurry, if at all.I'll have to try to get better ones tomorrow or as soon as they leave the car home long enough during daylight hours. All my movies of the panoramic roof didn't come out either. Anyway, here are a few shots for now...The panoramic moonroof! Hot wheels!ONE BAD THING!!!DASH mounted ignition! These are just highlights...All pics available at: http://photos.ragingfish.com/G6More to come soon!

Great pics, raging! I couldn't help but notice the 'face' on the center console at the auto show, so I made it my sig. Kinda reminds me of Rosie the robotic maid on the animated cartoon 'The Jetsons'.
