Had the same problem. You have to turn off all Pop-up blockers. Also, if you are going back and forth with someone you may have to hit send again to refresh the screen.

it probably is a pop up blocker. If you have your option set to deny instant messages, then when someone tries to send you an IM they get a message that you have blocked IM's. However, if a moderator of any of the forums sends you an IM, it still comes through. Guess you can't ignore a moderator Also, if you are having an interactive IM session with someone, you have to load a forum page to get any IMs that they have sent. Can be a pain if you are typing a reply, go to check a thread for some info, and then the incoming IM will wipe any IM you had been typing.
there is probably some place to click to allow genvibe pop ups. It should be safe to do so, the only pop ups I've ever gotten from here are IMs. Sometimes, CTRL clicking on a link will allow pop ups, but I don;t know if thzat will work with your blocker. does it tell you that pop ups are blocked?
IE 6's most recent version has an integrated pop up blocker...Check both the third-party one and IE6's to be sure you're not getting blocked by one and not the other...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
