some help please...

Post by SirMoosealot13 »

Hi all, im new to this forum, in fact this is post #1 for me...i actually stumbled upon it accidently wihle searching for parts for my new 2005 vibe, which leads me to my question....where the heck can one find parts? when i purchased this car i was under the impression that since its basically a Matrix that aftermarket parts were just as easily accessible, boy was i wrong. Like i said, i have a 2005 AWD and am desparatly seeking performance parts...as im sure you all know the paltry 123 horses is well, for lack of a better word, poopie! I was willing to sacrifice the HP initially due to the AWD thinking i could make a few mods and gain that HP this car needs. With that said, would someone please enlighten me as to where i may find the following... cold air intake, complete exhaust including headers (nothing too buzzy, im into a more deep throaty sound, ie borla or gibson) and possibly a new computer chip? any help or enlightenment would be much obliged... thanks from your newest member TOM

i am pretty sure that parts for the 05 arent really out yet. you probably should have gotten an 04, with all the discounts and, imo, cooler front end. aftermarket support for the vibe is pretty weak either way, sadly. there are no companies that sell exhaust for the awd of any year. i have an 03 awd, and i have a cai, but settled just for a high flow muffler rather than shelling out for a custom exhaust, which due to the restrictive headers, would do very little anyway. check the general forum, i started a thread there all about AWDs, tell us about yours there!!oh, and welcome.

Welcome, and watch the derogatory use of the word poopy!!!! Anyhoo, I think you may be SOL for awhile on the '05. It took a month of sundays for the 03 to get aftermarket parts. Hang in there, you can probably at least find a CAI. Check eBay.
