I have some ideas I would like to get some help with...First, I'd like to move the 12V power outlet thats in the rear to just under the rear cup holders.Second, like to make only the dash 12v power outlet on all the time.Thank You
Hopefully someone can figure out that "on all the time" bit. My 02 S-10 had that and it was cool becuase I could leave my phone in there on the charger and it would keep charging. Now I can only do it when I am in the car and it is on.

Moving the center console one should be easy. In fact, you might even consider just adding one under the cupholders and wiring it in parallel with the existing one.As for the one on the dash, probably the best thing is to wire the positive to the battery power going to the radio. Both have 15A fuses. (Haven't done it myself, though.) The dash cig power also goes to the right junction block behind the glove box, and could be wired into battery power there. However, I'd be a little nervous because the battery power over here goes to more important systems.Battery positive voltage on the 24-pin (larger) connector at the back of the radio is on the very end of one of the 2 connector rows. The wire is Blue with Yellow stripe. (May be Blue with White stripe on some cars).Pull the DOME and CIG fuses before working on this, at least. (At best- disconnect battery ground terminal)

Like GMJAP mentioned, the center console power outlet shouldn't be that much trouble. If you want to do away with the outlet and move it rearward, probably the only thing you'll have to do is snip the wiring and splice in some additional length. Now, how one can cut into the console to make the opening, or what tool would be used to do so, I don't have a clue. CP, that thread was to make the one between the seats on all the time. The one in the dash is different, there is no relay to trick out, to get it to be on all the time will take some cutting and splicing or wires. It would be a matter of finding an appropriately rated and fused circuit that was always on to tap into.If you cut a new hole and move the 12V outlet to under the rear cupholder, then you'd better plug the old hole, or small stuffl in that compartment might escape
