I haven't seen one in person, but if pictures do it any justice, this looks to be a promising vehicle!

You are thinking of the tC. The xA is a shrunken version of the Matrix. The xB is a box on mini-wheels.

OK, It looks like a nice car, but at the same time it is a replacement for the Cavi. I cheap affordable car that will get you from point A to point B. I'll give it until March until I see a riced out Cobalt. Can't wait until mommy and daddy start forking out the money for every little punk it the tri-county area to polish a turd. I'm bitter this morning.

hahaha! Tis true, you can not polish a turd. It looks like the Cobalt SS is going to come pre-riced from the factory (IMHO) - tacky tail lights, large exhaust, huge spoiler.. I wonder if they're going to have a fire extinguisher option for the right 'A' pillar... lol! Really, all the kids will have to do to this car is beat the hell out of it and add some stickers. lmaoI really do like the looks of the sedan, inside and out - that's a pretty nice car. But something with the coupe just doesn't sit right with me... More the rear end than anything else. Just don't like it...

well it is funny how some ppl make fun of these cars...say that they are for young punks and all that ...all u need is some stickers and wow boom u have a rice car.........well wake up and look around at what are u guys doing with ur station wagons...just about everyone here on this site has or is modding their car........so u cant flame other ppl for wantin to do the same to their cars.....mostly the cobalt ss..205 supercharged hp and over 200 pounds of torque....it is a rocket in a box......i drive a base vibe and i know for a fact that these cars a sleepy and lazy......this thing would not even touch my old 99 z24.....as for the cobalt itself it may be replacing the cavy but it is 10x the car that was..and u have to rememeber that the cavy was a 25 year old design.....ok its been a bad morning, iam just saying watch out who u flame because some ppl may take offence to what u have to say....wither it be right or wrong.

I have no problem with modding cars, but the rice around here is probably different from rice elsewhere. I agree with modding a car, but you have to at least draw the line somewhere.

My local Chevy dealer has two Cobalts, both four doors...1 LS, and 1 Base. Both were locked, so couldn't sit it in them, but they seem to be nice vehicles, however the rear looks a lot like the new G6.

I know, dude... I'm well aware that my base/auto is gonna get creamed by probably even a Cobalt in base form... But I could care less about performance, I usually find grandmas in their Buicks beat me away from the lights left and right... I'm with Poopy, some of the things done to cars nowadays are just too extreme for my liking. That's the point I was getting at. Plenty of people have done mods to their cars, and many of them turn out quite nicely! OTOH, there are also plenty of cars out there that just leave me scratching my head...Hell, for what it's worth, my Vibe looks nothing like it did when I drove it off the lot. Maybe I've riced mine out, I dunno - I do have a VVT-i sticker on the hatch. (removed)!I do like the Cobalt, and I have mentioned that in other threads... I just personally feel the sedan is the best looking one of the bunch. I think it is going to be a great car for Chevy.

I will say one thing... A supercharged Cobalt is gonna be hard to beat in terms of performance vs. cost!
