Well, today I am going to attempt to install my side body vinyl kit from decalkits.com onto my Vibe. Hopefully it won't be too bad, but I wish I was having it done professionally! I would just feel safer that way! I'll let you know how it turned out later tonight!

I didn't do it. We sat there looking at it for hours contemplating how to do it. I may try to find a place to do it professionally. It looks like it will be a lot harder than I thought it would be. I just wonder what that will cost? Anybody know what a side vinyl kit will cost to install? I don't want to mess it up.

My Car, with the kit on. it looks awesome! come and check it out, tell me what u think.P.S. the gray will be painted momentarily http://www.cardomain.com/ride/514882/1
I'm just afraid of messing it up! We have decided that we are going to have to cut it in half through an open section in order to get it to fit right. I'm just afraid of it getting stuck in the wrong place and not being able to fix it, that and making sure both sides end up the same!

Check the specific instructions that came with your decal, but a lot of places say put soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the car down...that will allow you to shift it around once it has been placed, so you can make adjustments...Might wanna IM trdvibe, ask her about it, I am pretty sure she installed her body graphics herself, maybe she has some tips...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Jason, How big are these graphics? We do this all the time. If you were closer we'd help. You need to have a spray bottle with about 2-3 drops of dawn diswashing liquid without any additives (ie. lotion, scent, aloe, etc) do not use more than 3 drops it will be much more difficult to get it to dry out and stick down. Need to spray the sticky part of the graphic and the car. Do not get the back of the paper backing wet, that is bad. Did they send you a squeege to apply it with? It will take two people to hold it and don't try to do it in the direct sun. It is not that bad. If you have questions and want help just call, we will help all we can. chris 417-455-2211. Depending on the shop they may charge an outlandish price as iritation fee for getting it somewhere else, just keep that in mind.

Ok, the vinyl is the junglesupermanA1 from decalkits.com I got the instructions as some others from another decal site as well with a little more detail. The graphics run to about midcar and look pretty similar to the pic on the site, maybe a little bit smaller. Should have taken pics when we had it taped up against the car to see how it would fit. trdvibe did IM me (unfortunately I just got it this morning as my IM doesn't work at home for some reason!) and gave me some advice and pointers. Still weary though! Yeah, I guess you can move it around some with the soapy water, just worried it will stick and will be off. I got the advice also from trdvibe about not getting the paper wet. Good thing I didn't try it myself last night or I would have some problems! They sent a little credit card sized soft-plastic-like board (squeege?). I might call you Chris before I take to this just to get some last minute advice. Got that about the pro-install. Figures. Oh well, guess I'll probably end up doing this myself. Finding a place to do it will be the hardest part.

Jason, just give us a call when you are ready to do it and we can help with all your questions. If needed you can call while you are doing it and we will try to help walk you through. We've done hundreds of graphics on cars and semi trucks and trailers. It is not that bad. GO to our web site and look at the street team to see some of the graphics we have done on our show team vehicles. They are big and intense. We have done some with up to 7 layers and colors (very intense) and they only take a long time. It is not as bad as you think it is.

It would probably be a good plan to wait till you get the kit on to try the graphics. Especially if you are replacing the fenders the fraphics are going onto. Just a thought.

Hmmm, forgot about the fenders I ordered!!!! The rest wasn't going to be a problem as it was going to be just above the lower line anyways, but the fenders will definitely be a problem. Crap, ok, maybe I will just have to wait. Oh well. Good thing this is all coming out now and I didn't get them on last night! Thanks!
