Ok, as most of you know. I blew my two rear struts about a month ago. KYB and their "Authorized Dealer". KYB has a part number for the vibe. The dealer told me that he had contact his distributor then KYB directly to try and find the part number alone. KYB has the part number but yet they don't make the part. The dealer can't get it which makes absolutely no sence. He doesn't know of anyone else who would make struts for a car that has been dropped. SOOOO Frustrating!!!! Does anyone know where I can find either struts, or a good information source for research on them! Thanks!

I contacted Koni about a month ago and they said they were working on a strut set for the VIbe-, but I also saw threads almost a year old with the same remark- So- who knows if they will ever come out with a strut for our cars. As far as the KYB's. I believe the matrix/vibe actually uses KYB's as an oem part. I'm also pretty sure if you were somehow succesful in purchassing a set from them, they would be exactly the same as stock. Stock struts form any parts store should do the trick.Putting it in a nutshell, with lowering springs you have to use stock dampners, and accept that they might not last as long as if the car wasn't lowered. (However, former threads mention of few problems with extended use). With all this in mind, I would just keep it slow over potholes (probably not many in Texas) speed bumps, or anything that would create a sudden blow to the strut.
