Okay. I noticed this about a couple of weeks ago. When I turn my fan on, I put it towards my floor, there is still a considerable amount of air coming through the visible vents. I was feeling near the bottom and there was barely any air coming there. Then when I put it on defrost, same thing. Is this something that my dealer would take care of?Inder

If you're getting air from the two outboard vents on the dash, that's normal... But If you're getting a good amount of air out of all four vents when the mode knob is in a position where air should not be coming from the dash vents (except the outer ones) when in floor, defrost, etc you may have a problem. I did notice an ever so tiny amount of air coming through the center dash vents this morning when in defrost, but it wasn't anything to write home about... Sounds like you may have an issue where the cable for the mode knob is not adjusting a damper somewhere to direct airflow properly. Could be something as simple as adjusting a cable (kinda like what we have to do w/ the temperature cable, but that's pure speculation on my part.) I'd say let the dealer have at it, don't see why they wouldn't cover that under warranty.Good luck to ya!

You will also get a fair amount of air coming through the main vents if you have a window or the moon roof open... to stop the air from coming through hit the recirc button and this will stop the the air.
Yes, as zionzr2 said, the recirc. button is the problem. I know when I turn mine off, air will come through the top vents, it will stop when I activate the button again. Also remember it shuts off when using the defrost. Hope this helps you out.

Yeah, but the air comes out of yours like normal? Or is there like minimal amount of air coming out? I have the same amount of air coming out of the vents no matter where my setting is at.Inder

I notice when I turn to the window/floor setting, or just window, there is still a small amount of air coming out of the far right and far left vents... Basically I think it's because of those small side window vents right above the vents on the dash, they're only about 2" long, they are always blowing air to keep your mirror areas clear on the side windows, I think that the two vents are connected, which is why you feel air from the main vents as well... I hope that makes sense, I tend to get too wordy, lol.
