Hi! I'm Bing and i'm a member of the C2Power team. C2Power is a innovative and forward thinking company located in Europe that is trying to expand it's market after proving themselves in developing high performance products for mainly the Toyota Celica and supplying splended customer service. Ok, i've posted this on another forum as well.... so i'm trying to sum up all answers of the questions answered on there so far. Now, just recently we had inquiries about developing a turbo kit for the Matrix. We here in europe only have the Corrolla which does not match the Matrix, thus the reason for us to hold back. We've got good news: we got a hold on a Vibe that we can work on for F/I application. Since the Matrix's similar as the Vibe. We have multiple kits for the Celica already, Turbo kit stage 1 and 2 on the Celica GT(1ZZFE) and Turbo kit stage 1 for the Celica GT-S(2ZZGE). Not only turbo kits, but also things like a very strong 6 gear racing transmission with LSD integrated, Lambo door kits and turnk shock kits.I posted this on http://www.matrixowners.com forum as well and there seems to be interests. So we've started on making a prototype on the Vibe. The kit will be absolutely great for daily driving, because of the huge low end and mid end power increase. The development of this kit will not take long because the Celica GT's engine and the Matrix/Vibe are similar to eachother. We will be developing the XRS/GT(2ZZGE) turbo kit after completing this kit.Few highlights of what the turbo kit will consist of:- Borgwarner K04 turbo, watercooled for longlivety and also used in the Audi TT 1.8t- Stainless steel piping(polished where visible)- Tubular manifold for less turbulation in airflow- Greddy E-manage piggyback ECU - SARD BOV(well known japanese BOV that really sounds nice)- IntercoolerSome parts may vary or differ, because the parts are also being used on the Celica. OUR EXPECTATIONS:We're planning on making 5 kits first and sell those for an introduction price at $3290. This will exclude shipping costs. After the first 5 kits got sold, the price will most likely go up.This stage 1 Matrix/Vibe kit is set to a limit of 50% power gain on an engine that runs with stock internals. Due the internals being designed for high compression, it will not be safe to boost any higher then 6PSI. Expect a power gain between 50-60hp if you have a good exhaust system that will not restrict the airflow. 4WD would see a bigger loss since power is being distributed to all 4 wheels, instead of 2. I guess everyone who buys a 4WD would know that. It's capable of running much more of course, but you will need to lower your compression to be able to boost safe at those levels. So that's why we suggest not to go over 6PSI with the stage 1 kit. Proper tuning by a qualified tuner who understand our engine is also very important. The turbo should start spooling at 2200 ~ 2300 rpm. It should be at 6PSI around 2600~2700rpm. Please keep in mind that these are our experiences with the Celica and it's possible that it could differ from it. Time shall tell.To let you become familiar with some of our products, here's some pictures and videos of the work we've completed so far:Celica GT-S(2ZZGE) stage 3 - making 316whp @ 14 PSI running richImages:http://www.c2design.hu/celica/Soceur/6/ ... .mpgCelica GT(1ZZFE) stage 2 - Making aproximatly 255whp @ 13PSIImages:http://www.c2design.hu/celica/gas/pic1. ... 200.mpgFor more pictures and info please visit http://www.c2power.com. We have a gallery, product information and small forum section on the website. If you have any other questions, we'll gladly answer them. Don't be scared to ask. There's no such thing as stupid questions, there's only stupid answers. Sincerely,Bing

we got plenty of turbo kits now.so now for everyone who clamored for one ...nows the time to step up.c2 may even be offering another 2zz alternative as well. we will have to wait and see. i got to initial questions that may help people though. are you using bigger injectors with that emanage(are they included).what size (wxlxh) intercooler are you using.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
Sounds good! Any idea when those 5 kits will be ready and how much shipping will be to the US? Also, what does it take to increase the compression ratio for an engine? Does this mean boring it out and using bigger cylinder heads and rods or what all is involved in that? I may be interested, but there are some kits available here with similar gains for about the same price and no shipping is required. What wouls a stage 2 run and what are it's estimated gains? Those lambo door kits and upgraded trans sound good, too!

We've expect not to take too long. We will finish the prototype and show you pictures of the kit. If you guys are still interested, then we'll start mass producing the kit and the first batch of 5 will be produced.Shipping to the US will be aproximatly $280.Engine compression can be LOWERED(you want to lower it to be able to run more boost safely) when getting lower compression pistons. A head gasket would also help a bit. In stage 2 you will require stronger rods, lower compression pistons, upgraded clutch, bigger intercooler. But this will require to take out your engine, taking engine apart and a lot of knowledge of our car/engine.I have a stage 2 turbo kit on my Celica 1ZZFE and my boost is set at 13PSI. I'm pushing around 255 whp and have 240lb-ft of torque. That's alot of torque In response of Satur's question: No the kit will not include any injectors. We strongly advice to get the 2ZZGE(320cc) injectors, well that's for the celica. I think the same will appply for the Vibe(1ZZFE) which has stock 260cc injectors.

My question to you guys: Does anyone have the ECU wiring table? We have the Celica ECU wiring table, but we're not sure if it's the same. Here's a picture of the Celica ECU table:Update 04-11-26:Prototype piping have been fitted. Here's some pictures of the header, downpipe and piping.Intercooler is located in front, but no pictures of that.I'm trying to find out what the difference is between the structure of them. If engine bay is exactly the same or not.Bing

See if this helps - This is not exactly what you have but it's info pertaining to the pcm connectors. And as far as engine bays go the matrix and the vibe are identical - the only difference are the looks on the outside.A friend of mine is a technician for Toyota and he's seen and worked on both and told me they are the same engine bay wise. On the other hand, the Toyota scanner for the pcm will not work on the vibe and vise versa.I've got 4 large documents that the website will no hold.If you email me with your email address I'll be happy to send them to you.lukesdsm@aol.com
There's a difference in front ends on the vibe/matrix...Might be more or less room between front of the radiator and the fasica on the two, but I can't say for sure...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Hey Bing! , I am glad to see more coming to the 1zz crowd in regards to F/I. Yet, turbos are a tougher sell among Vibe/matrix people because of the factory offered Supercharger kit.Except me!, I want a turbo kit. I mean , you are advertizing 50% more power at 6 psi, that is more power than the sc kit runs. 6psi of intercooled air is less stress on the motor than the hotter SC air at 7.5 psi. Plus, there is opportunity for bigger power Absolutely! I want a turbo right away ...Kidding aside, welcome to Genvibe!PS..I know some of the answers to your questions about the ecu's, and enginge compartment differences, but i got the info from....well let's just say there are loyalty issues!

Thanks for the answers guys! I really appreciate it We're expecting those numbers with the experience of the Celica, which has the same engine as the Vibe/Matrix.As for the loyalty issues. Sure I understand. hehe Do you actually have the SF kit? But don't worry. I've gotten alot of information and help already from other board Like you said, you could always go crazy with our setup and strengthen the internals and lower the compression to go higher boosts. Quote, originally posted by C2Bing »As for the loyalty issues. Sure I understand. hehe Do you actually have the SF kit? BingI thought you might have recognized my user name from NC.O, I dont post over ther too much anymore. 2 years ago I was asking questions from them , and Spyderchat, about turbo stuff. Back then I was about ready to have SF install a turbo on my Vibe. 2coolmiketlu and Jerseyjay were the onlyones who had turbos on their car back then. All the pictures I had of my set up I just realized dropped off this board, because the threads only go back a year. I should probably take new pics. I have had the SF kit for nearly 2 years. Actually, my car is the 1st 1zz car that SF based all their kits from. I live about 20 minutes from their shop. There is a thread on here called "14 psi on stock internals" Which is the highest I have run on my 1zz, but only a couple of times . I usually run at 8psi, which has done me well for the last 2 years, and over 30k miles. I understand you wanting to keep the boost low,but I have found that the 1zz can take alot mor than some peopple have supposed, if the tune is right, which it is in the SF kit. If I remembber correctly, you had originally had 10:1 forged pistons in your car, befor you went with the MWR 8.8:1 ones? If i ever build my motor, I am not sure that I will go that low in compression ratio. It might be too much of a pre boost power drop for me Anyway, I have seen the kits being deveoped over there at SF for the Matrix, Corrolla, celica GT , 2zz GT-S, MRS-Spyder,.. and have ridden in most of thos cars and have feen informed about the technical differences between the models. Lets just say that it is not my place to go blabbing some of that stuff to their competitor. yet in a spirit of goodwill, I hope the best of success in your 1zz kit endeavers. PS, just to avoid a little confusion for you, Vibe= 1zz ,Vibe GT = 2zz.

Yeah, hehe... your name looked familiar. I didn't have 10:1 forged pistons, but just 10.5 stock pistons. C2Gas went that way.Well, you have to take in mind that 91 octane fuel, hot weather in some places like california, people not fine tuning the car could cause trouble to the engine. That's why we just want to stay on the safe side.Better safe then sorry. I'm sticking my nose out SF's business. Website forum rules said it's not allowed to slander. I'm not planning to ****talk anyone so.

Update 12-2-2004We have pictures of the intercooler we will be using for the stage 1 kit. It's measurements are 70cmx20cmx7cm. The width of it is 7cm, which is almost 3". The celica's intercooler is only 5cm, which is 2.25".The core's length is 50cm, which is like 20" and the height is like 8".So core measurments: 20"x8"x3". We use this metric system, don't mind us europeans ops: Will keep you guys updated!

We finished the kit. We will start a group buy on this site and on matrixowners.com site. There will only be 5 kits available. How do I place a group buy on this website? I checked, but haven't found a policy for posting groupbuys.Bing

Not that I have anywhere near enough $$ for this kind of thing right now as much as I would ove to get one, what will it run for the group buy? Just post a thread in the For Sale forum for a group buy. List price, where to send $$, what is included, all that good information, etc... Also, I would like to know what they will run w/ shipping after the GB.
