Fry rice.Also.. it would kinda make sense.. if he was accelerating up a hill in third gear...turbo or not, he was probably at least 1/2" the way through the throttle.. As soon as he cleared that hill, though..that turbo would've spun up faster than he coulda thought.. top of third gear and probably spinnin' his tires like mad. He might've hit that house doing 50-60 by the time it was said and done..If that car had a recall on the throttle...man..Subaru should be payin' for that thing...Edit: This post pretty much confirms my theory. http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...nt=37

If he didn't upgrade the throttlebody...then mods or not, it wouldn't neccesarily be his fault that the throttle caught. Generally when they upgrade turbos, they just upgrade the turbo itself, maybe the intercooler and the blow-off valve, but not the throttle unless they want to.The WRX is freaking fast. With the upgraded turbo, he could've easily hit 80 in third in a few seconds..Alright, I watched the video in this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...t=195I take back part of what I said. There're holes in the kid's story, for sure. But...i'll defend him just because he's getting completely ripped apart.

He is lucky what ever it was, house or fence parts that pierced his windshield didn't spear him.

if you look at the picture of the road infront of the curb, it looks like there is a skid mark, I have a feeling it is a rim gouge in the pavement, some serious understeer perhaps...I bet the kid was trying to drift the corner and couldn't get th rear loose. None the less, WAY TOO MUCH car for a little kid like this.
