Installing locks on the spare tire compartment?

Post by Mase »

Has anyone ever done it? I'm gonna be piecing together a sound system this winter and would like to mount the amps and cd changer in the spare tire compartment. Has anyone ever looked into replacing the 2 stock twist-locks with actual keyed locks?

Nope. Don't think it'd be too hard, but you'd need to figure out how to work something in there.I think it'd be a bit redundant... If your stuff is under the cargo cover anyway, nobody'll see it..and if they already broke into the car, it's just a piece of plastic...
