Howard Stern to Sirus

Post by Reynoma »

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...dc_32I say, good riddance. I was into his stuff when I was younger, but quickly got bored after about the 900th time of doing the same thing.

Stern bores me to tears. They call him a "shock-jock", but I've never been shocked, amazed, disgusted.... anything. So he's got a stripper today. So he's got a deformed midget. So the stripper's gonna perform "favors" for the midget. I don't care, people do dumb, sick stuff all the time. He's nothing new, just over-hyped.~~Z600

Its better than listening to some boring guy talk about what he did the previous day.

I'm glad to see him leave the public airwaves (where I think that he clearly didn't belong), but it invites a new problem. There is no shortage of other sick and depraved people out there who will now be encouraged and enticed to come forward and be the "new" Howard Stern. It has the potential to be even worse than before. I look around every day and have to wonder to myself, "what in the hell is wrong with people?"

If the numbers that Sirius' representatives have been touting are accurate and actually do pan out, then yes, it was probably a good business decision--strictly monetarily speaking. One thing is for sure, though. If I do choose to get satellite radio in the future, you can be darn sure that it won't be with Sirius! I have to wonder if the subscribers and potential subscribers that Sirius is now handing to their competition by making this deal with Stern will create more losses than what they gain from it? If there is a shred of decency left in this world, then they should lose their shirts in this deal.
