Cosmo cold air intake 2004 vibe GT

Post by geepaks »

Need some help. I just rec'd the cold air intake from Cosmo racing for my 2004 GT (has the ground effects also if that matters)Has anyone already installed this intake which could provide me with some pictures of the final job. In particular I need to see the orientation of the air filter in the lower fender opening (I could not get the filter into the fender opening from the bottom as it was to large in diameter) and where the remaining vacuum lines were clamped off.Thanks. I dont have a cosmo but I did have to unscrew the plastic cover on the bottom of the car then I was able to squeeze the filter in. I think your other option is to take the front bumper off. I think it will make things easier but dont know if you want to go that route.

I was able to get the cai installed, and I think for the price it will do just fine - the sound comes to life at high R's.Thanks for the comments. Bob

Awsome, I have a Cosmo CAI as well...I had to put a small dent in the tube so it would fit between the wheel well and the head light without putting too much pressure on them. Got it for $75 though so it was worth it
