OK, so they finally called me to add the extensions onto the cladding, so naturally, I'm thinkin' "sweet". So I drop my car off Monday evening and tell them that the brakes are also squeaking a bit, but I replaced the brake pads about 2 or 3 months ago. So they called me later in the day on Tuesday and said that the brake pad backs just needed lubed. Which again makes me think "sweet" there is no problem with the brakes themselves, I was thinking that the rotors might need cut. So anyway, I went to pick it up last night and approached the car from the driver's side. The new cladding looks great, the discoloration and marks are gone. So I walk around the car to see if the bit of bird poop got washed of the passenger side of my car, it was washed off, BUT the new cladding is not on the passenger side!!! So naturally, I am thinking (removed). I go back in to ask the service manager what the story is, he said that the passenger side cladding is on backorder, so now I have half of the car with the new cladding and extension and the passenger side is the same as it was, so I'm a little bitter, as to be expected. So I am on the way home and S.O.B. the brakes started squeeking again. I am so close to telling my dealership where to shove it. I paid the $50 to have them look at the brakes, and not even fix the problem.

well, can't you take it back and tell them to fix what they didn't? you paid for it and it's not fixed. i would think they would do that. but then again, each dealership is different.
If you paid for something to be fixed and it's not, then you should take it back say that the problem is still persisting. But some Pontiac dealers are real a$$es. So, I wouldn't doubt them sayin, sorry, we can't do anything for ya.Inder

That sucks man... I will say one thing - I've never heard of a dealer doing a job only halfway because they don't have all the parts... What the? You would normally think that they would wait until everything comes in. That's weird! For the brakes, go in and smack 'em around a little. What kind of pads did you put on it when you changed them?If it makes you feel any better, I have to schedule another trip in for my cladding. Sometime over the last few days, the cladding has become all out of whack on the rear doors. I now have some rather large gaps between the cladding and the door on both rear doors. I don't know what happened, it looked good when I picked it up... Stupid plastic.

I hope so! I have been too busy to call the dealer about it. I may bypass them and just call the body shop and see if they can fit me in sometime soon.

I paid the $50 to have them look at the brakes, and not even fix the problem. I took my car in to get my brakes checked a while back. It was one of those dealer recommended maintenance items and cost around $100. Shortly afterwards, the brakes started squeaking really bad. I took it back and they fixed it for free, but the squeak eventually come back. A co-worker of mine thinks they may have warped the rotors because they didn't torque the wheel nuts up in the proper sequence. If you paid for them to look at the brakes you should be able to get it fixed for free, although I don't know how long it will stay squeak free. I'm planning to get some aftermarket brakes after this.

Cool... I was curious about how you like it and how it's holding up compared to the old stuff. No problems here! I didn't even have to take it back to the dealer from when it was starting to pull back from the doors, just beat the crap out of it and both sides have decided to stay put.

Oh, it looks great and is holding up well. I really need to give my digi cam a workout, more pics of the sat. radio and the cladding as well. Right now, my car is covered in salt. They have been dumping salt on the road like it's going out of style.
