Super Dynamics Stainless Steel Headers for our Vibe.. improve the acceleration and pick-up by leads and bounds! No joke! these headers are made in Thailand by ArtoTRD without the TRD badge. Genuine TRD- USD 1200, Super Dyanamics USD500. dats HUGE SAVINGS. The headers provide a much smoother flow from the engine and the diameter of the pipping is 20% bigger than the stock mild steel ones. Another character of the stainless steel is not only it looks good, giving a golden look after usage, it also dissipate heat 3times faster than the mild steel ones! This is the pic for the TRD headers.. the other is for Honda.. take a look at the wonderful bends and the fantastic finishing of the headers!
Wonderful Voltz my friend. I have one too.....(removed), see?Just kidding...it's just a VOLTZ decal I put on. I cannot find any real Voltz badges for my baby
Hi Merz.. i think find can find the original Voltz badgefrom Toyota (as wat u see on my car) from our local spare parts shop.. Let me noe if u want it.. Nice poser "Pontiac Voltz" u have
I beleive u can get it from Apexi USA.. its going for USD469.. A bit steep price but it has good resale value as its transferabble from car to car.. I believe u can get good discounts from some sites too. Do get a good reputable to tune on the road or dyno and set the FC to the optimum range..
Quote, originally posted by Voltz »hey bro just a question.. the VVTLi engine would not fit into the automatic tranny of the base model rite?no, the vvtl-i engine comes with a 6MT. i'm pretty sure the toyota matrix XR-S had an AT option with that engine for the first couple years, but i'm not sure why they stopped offering that option. the vibe GT always came with the 6MT tho...if i'm wrong about the matrix, someone will correct me. i'm sure someone here knows why they stopped producing the AT XR-S.

dats why im saying, if i change to the enine to VVTLi, then i would have to swap the entire tranny to the manual which i dun mind! but in the end, the swap would have cost much uch more than the SC.. logical?
ya dats what i guess so, i dun think the auto tranny can take the trashing of the VVTLi cos its a high compression, high revving engine.. Many years back to 1996 when Honda first offer the Civic EK series, the top of the range model, the SiR came with the DOHC VTEC engine.. The manual gets the full 170bhp whilt the auto gets a detuned 155bhp..

It will be a waste to turbocharge the 2ZZ engine (like the Honda DOHC VTEC) mainly its a high copnpression engine meant for sweet high revving.. And if wana high boost for the turbo, most likely u haf to bring the compression down before u can think of high 200s hp.. It will be such a waste! If i have the VTTLi engine, i will most likely go the NA way! Boost up the compression using high comp forged pistons and conrods, overbore the pistons to increase the capacity to 1900-2000cc.. high lift cams for lower duration of the valve lift! I think this set up will highly escalate the joy of driving the VVTLi and the sound of the cam lift switch-over during high rpm would be much intoxicating than the stock VVTLi just like as in a Honda! Then after all, we can bolt on a multi throttle too! haha NA way is much safer and reliable of modding But everything is about money.. The cheapest way is dun do anything at all.. Thats the surest way to save $$$.. Am i rite? oh ya.. anyone here knows the stock compression of 1zz and 2zz? pls advise.. thks My ex engines.. Honda SOHC VTEC D16 with multi throttle.. NA.. 200PS@crank.. This set up cost me an arm and leg..
yeah i agree with ya on the NA tuning, i just thought you were into forced induction since you were lookin for a supercharger. a guy with a corolla xr-s (2zz) just hit the NA 200whp mark recently, dyno sheets, pics, n vids to prove it do a search for "200whp" n it should come upcomp. ratio on the 1zz 10:1. the 2zz is 11.5:1if you wanna see a 2zz turbo matrix, check this out. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22139youtube search for "hass turbo matrix"http://youtube.com/results?sea...earchyeah i'd say you've spent some serious cash on your vehicles. those are some clean (removed) cars why did you switch from honda to toyota??

In my humble opinion, if the 2ZZ is as capable as the Honda DOHC VTEC, i presume the 2ZZ can be tweaked to about at least 240bhp with all the high com pistons and cams with ease.. Our 1.8 DOHC VTEC could easily hit the 240 mark given the items i had listed without any problems.. i think the capacity could also be upped easily by widening the bore and usage of oversized pistons.. my mechanic friend has bored the Celica 2ZZ to about 1994cc.. 200cc makes a world of diff.. a 50cc motorbike can carry 2 persons! A 2000cc DOHC VTEC with all internal build ups could generate at least 280bhp at wheels.. I dun think the Toyota engineers are not up to par wif the Hondas.. @292Bhp, i think the 2ZZ could fare better.. a stock B18C in spore could produce about 340-360bhp with turbo.. my two cents worth..
WHAT A PIECE OF SAD NEWS! Mr. Koh, Yes, they have discontinued the Supercharger for the 1.8 IZZE. Thanks,Shannon Champion Toyota (Houston) 11711 Gulf Freeway Houston TX 77034 FX 713-943-8930 Direct 713-943-7010 Watts 1-800-327-2087 Please always include text from previous e-mails
Daniel,Any idea where I can get the wheel spacers you posted with pic and where can I get the undercarriage pieces you have?I've tried searching everywhere for them but I can't find them... Man, I really want to stiffen up my car and the summit racing stuff you have looks like it would do a really good job...
I second that. I've been looking for rear wheels spacers for a while now.I think the front is perfect how it is but the rear needs to come out of the wheel wells a bit
Hi Bro Kamikaze.. I have 2pairs of the 15mm 5X100 counter locking spacers on hand now in my house... This is an extra set which i had bought previously.. Fits perfectly into the Vibe.. Comes complete with all lugs and counter lock nuts.. The color of the spacer is Gunmetallic brown... will try to post the pics of the spacer here when i can.. its abt 140 per pair.. Can send the item via EMS to u.. shouldnt be too ex.. U interested? As for the Summits, i an try to organise some kinda of group buy so that i can lower the price further by talking to the distributors here.. u guys interested in this GB? let me know ya
Hi Mer.. im running on 15mm in the front.. 20mm at the rear.. which is already near perfect.. but another 5-10mm more at the rear say 25mm or 30mm will improve the looks and the handling tremendously..

But it will also increase the load on the wheelbearings, both for the front and/or the rear... Spacers can be a good thing, in a properly designed system, but in one that isn't you are just asking for trouble, in the long run... My .02$
I was wondering if you could by chance get a hold of the OEM front emblem and rear VOLTZ emblems I could use them for my 2009. If you have part numbers that would be great as well. I looked at your photobucket page but all the voltz pics have been removed. great looking car.....-wadeo
