Ok, to make is short and simple, I was cruising in my Vibe, with my gf and my kid, ands I heard a stange noise. I took a look at my gf and she told me my ring slip from my hands I thought, it falled down under the seat that's all. So arrived at destination, I started searching the precious ring. I looked everywhere, nothing. I even removed the center console, nothing, nada niet!!!! The only places I haven't been able to check is under the floor mat and in the air duck.Anyone has any clue how to get those place without destroying the half of my car????

quote:have you tried looking inbetween the seats... As in where the top and the bottom meet? Oh yes I did. Nothingquote:Otherwise I would advise you to take the front seats out and see then. I thought about this. But I have the wright tool and the bolt was very tight.I'll try to take a look under the seat. There's a peice of metal and may be it is stuck between the air foam and this piece of metal.
Zip over to the autoparts store and buy the magnet on a stick. That tool is invaluable. A strong magnet that mechanics use to retrieve dropped wrenches or nuts inside the engine compartment. There is also a mirror on a stick. They both are very yummy.
Just here to lend a hand to people who have questions about their Vibe.

quote:What metal is the ring made out of?If it is a precious metal, forget it..It will not be attracted to the magnet. Your wright Silver. gold won't stick on the magnet....What can I do???? Buy another ring to my gf of starts destroying my Vibe to, may be, find it out???
Almost 1 year later, I decided to destroy the interior of my Vibe and remove everyting inside the car. I big thank you the Ragingfish for the instruction on removing the center console. So I removed the 2 front seats, the center console, the AC converter and removed the carpet.I found nothing under the carper but dust....So decided to remove the heating pipe located under the driver's seat. I shaked it and heard a hitting sound. I put my hand under, turn it and TADAM the ring appeard!I really don't know how it is possible to an object to fall down and jump directly into this pipe, but is seems to be.
I think your best bet may be the air duct.*edit* apparently I missed the part where you found the ringI am going back to licking the window on the short bus now.
