completely removing the roof rack?

I saw a vibe today with the roof rack totally gone and I gotta say it didn't look too bad. Question is how the heck did he do it? I always though that the black plastic stuff and side bars were an integral part of the roof.Just another way to lower drag

I wonder how much it would cost for a fiberglass shop to fill up the holes and smooth it over... I think it would look nice but might be a bit too much work

It's not an easy job to make filler pieces. I've been working on and off on these and it's been a pain. The problem is the compound curves and angles. I have about 40 hours in getting these as close as I have them. I formed these from 20 guage sheet aluminum. I hope to have them finished and painted for the Ohio Vibe meet in a few weeks. I'm very close to having them finished but still need to have them body worked and painted.

Yeah I saw the pics of what you did ealier looks really nice I wonder if its possible to have the fiberglass fabricated with body molding pins of some kind to get it to stay in the original holes
