vanity mirror lights

Post by ewakko »

has anyone done anything with their vanity mirrors? I was looking at 04 vibes and saw the vanity mirror and i thought it was a joke. what happened to the bigger mirrors with lights. would it be easy to add lights? I thought it would be messy because you'd have a wire hanging from somewhere. my 85 celebrity had better mirrors than this.

I think your best bet would be to go to the local Wal-Mart or the like and pick up one of those battery operated illuminated vanity mirrors that clip to the sun visor. Definitely would be the cheapest alternative. Not the best looking, though. Or, you could find some type of light to stick on the visor, but then will have the wiring issue. In theory, if you could find some visors from an upper-level Toyota product with the lights that would fit, that would work. And the wiring wouldn't be exposed. But I bet the mounting would be entirely different, and the visor will probably be too big anyway. If the Corolla had them, that could be an easy swap, but I think they don't have the lighted mirror option. They probably have the same ones as we do.Having lights there would be nice. But I'm still waiting on them to spend the extra ten cents it would take to put a stinkin' cover over the passenger's visor mirror. lol!
