Not sure if I told you guys this or not, but I pulled the plug on the base Vibe that I ordered. I've decided to hold off and wait for a 2005 GT. We're in the process of selling our 2001 Maxima, so no hurry here at all. There are currently no 2005 GT's to be found in Washington, Oregon or Idaho. I asked my dealer about that, and they said that Pontiac won't stock their inventory until ALL of the 04's are gone. This coincided with what Ford told us as well. For those of you looking to purchase a 2005 GT, waiting a few months is in your best interest. Not only will the selection be much greater than it is now, but the incentives (cash back and 0%) will most likely be increased as well. Just some FYI's from my Northwest Pontiac dealer.
It's the same here in the NW, but there are zero 2005 GT's on the lots. My point was that there will continue to be a mix of 04/05's until the 04's are gone. Then the 05's will get stocked heavily. The salesman said that Pontiac is going to market the Vibe hard beginning in Fall. We'll see.
Vibe is in full production, there just aren't any dealers that want to stock GTs. It accounts for 2% of Vibe sales. So you may have a long wait to find one. Just factory order a GT the way you want.
I haven't seen anything but 2005 Base Monotones around here.

Well from what I saw of the 2005 front end, they have to do something funny to make the cladded ones. Since the 2005 monotones have a one piece front end. That would explain the 11.04.04 start date for the cladded models. Hence my order for my AWD, in the monotone. I didn't want to wait.

YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
I believe you, but why then the delay making the cladded ones? And isn't this little guy cute? And I don't even shift.

Well me and the salesman were out there looking at the AWD moonstone that I did the 24 hour test drive on and it did not look like it came apart. But they are so good at hiding things that I would believe it either way. We couldn't figure out how they would do the cladding. That was why I figured they had the date so far in the future for the cladded models. Otherwise, why not make them now? But no matter, I ordered the monotone, it has grown on me. In the Moonstone, hopefully chips will not show so much.
