I don't understand your question/problem...do you mean it won't rev PAST 2800? If so, sounds like your MAF might be toast.

What do you mean? That it will only run up to 2800 RPM?If so, then your MAF sensor is toast. You'll have to get it replaced

I think it is probably because there was a change for the Vibe GT '04 model in the air intake system. I'm not absolutely positive, but I think that Injen only offers a CAI for the '03 Vibe GT at this time. The MAF sensor is probably fine and doing it's job correctly, but the computer is misunderstanding the input from the sensor and turning up the idle due to the change in readings now caused by the installation of the CAI. I'm no certified mechanic, but that would be my guess. The '04 has some kind of smog pump that the '03 didn't have, so I'd bet that this difference between the model years is what is screwing things up.

You have the vac lines attached properly, you didn't accidently move the throttle cable? Your filter isn't jammed up so far on the tube its not allowing air in?

brandon, injen is the only one that makes a CAI for the 04+ 2zz engines. i believe it goes around that smog pump. swirv has one and now silvervibeGT. i've not done an install on one yet, so i can't say what that fog pump looks like.

Possibly it is incorrectly connected vacuum hoses? Also others have sensibly noted that immediately after installing a CAI on these cars it is necessary to just start the car up and do nothing but let it idle for about 10 min so that the computer can readjust to the new input from the sensors.

Try to disconect the battery for about 20 minutes or so. the computer might need to reset
