I think it's pretty tough to get the two-tone cladding repainted, or so i've read. I actually think the two-tone is more stylish than the monotone, but that's just one opinion.I'd go with some black rims, that'd probably look sweet!

a 2 tone vibe is just a 1/2 painted vibe.the lower half is just unpainted, no reason why you couldn't paint it

With your Abyss Vibe, the cladding doesn't contrast as much as with other lighter colours. Save your money and put it towards the nice wheels instead of paint -- I've seen some gunmetal rims with a chrome lip on the circumference that look pretty sharp.

Hey, question for you. What is the 3m protector film? Where did you get it? Does it work? Basically, anything you can tell me about the product.

I had a two tone lava, and gunmetal rims do go well with it. I'll enclose a pic of what my Vibe looked like with them.

if you have a 2 tone, i think gunmetal rims are the best way to go. ties the color of the cladding in nicely and looks pretty sharp.

I have to agree 100% with Hope on this one. The all chrome rims with cladding looks odd. It's like blinging without blinging if that makes ANY sense at all. Gunmetal is the best way to go.

I got a set of gunmetal Tenzo R Mean6 wheels on my Abyss two tone.I chose the gunmetal over the silver Mean6, I thoght it would fit better with the dark grey plastic on my Vibe. The gun metal color is a little lighter than I'd like but I was actually thinking of doing the very thing your wanting to do, paint the lower grey plastic gunmetal to match my wheels.
