say if i got a magnaflow catback(i like the idea of EVO II custom cat back but i dont know enouph yet, and i dont even have money yet, so im still thinking and thinking) and a AEM or INJEN CAI, would those to parts complement eachother, like for say, each added together would give about 20 whp looking at both dynos(about 12 from intake, 8 from magnaflow), but when actually put together would they both help eachother and make it more like a extra 25whp, or since the car was now already breathing better would the increase not be as dramatic and i would only get like a 17whp increase?!?i hope the "help eachother out" part is true, but i dont know anything about this myself, anyways after looking at dynos i came to the realization whatever it is that makes it possible, the power on the vibe to the wheels isnt lost like crazy on some cars, we have on the GT a 25hp lose(about 180hp to 155whp), were the Mazda 6 has a 40hp lose(from 220hp to 180whp), and a S2000 has a huge 50hp lose to wheels(from 240hp to 190whp), so if all stays as is, even with front wheel drive, were pretty good at the whp area
It isn't like simple addition. You add one, then another, and you tally the numbers. Remember, that "claimed" is usually different than what you get. Flywheel HP and wheel HP are different by about 15% (manual) or 20% (auto). Also keep in mind that not all claims are true. Some cars are overrated (S2000, 03 Miatas, 01 Cobras), while some are underrated (98-02 F-bodies, 03 Cobras and Mach 1's).
unfortunately youll be lucky to get about 10WHP with cia and exhaust.but dont get caught up on numbers.the performance increase is ok

uhg, yes, but it should only cost me about 600-700 and then if somebody else says anything good enouph about unichip MAYBE buy it, bleh, i am saving for either a turbo from stratford in a few years, or a Golf with a 1.8T (used) engine, so i could turbo that, ive been doing research on that in my spare timeanyways ive seen dynos for both, and i do know of a vibe GT with 170 whp dynod by its owners, forgot to ask name but they were at the meet in michigan, (they had crappy exhaust hehe, and a AEM intake )anyways i would think the parts would help eachother a little, even if it only a addition 1hp or so, i dont know thoughPS: atleast in my area the S2000 is a rather unheard of car in that alot of people dont know what exactly it is, like they do a RX8 or a 350Z, and the things more biult towards roadcorse handling, which it accels in, although it can still drag, supposidly one ran 13.8 stock in 1/4mile, but the whole stock thing could be a lie, anyways!! and they have gotten 560whp out of turbod S2000s, so they are a capable car, u think there just biult for reliabilty unlike EVO MR 340s and suchi think im just misinterpriting, but it honestly seems like people are getting down on the vibe, i hope im just hollucinating, personally i love the car
