A note of praise about storage space in the Vibe. The wife and I just got home from Best Buy where we were Christmas shopping for the kids. We bought each a 25" Stereo Color TV.For those who don't know, these things come in BIG boxes! With the rear seats down, BOTH boxes fit neatly inside! It's a good thing, because the weather had turned to a mix of freezing rain and snow while we were in the store. Just another reason why I love my Vibe.

I am waiting on my Vibe's arrival but my mother has a Matrix (lol) and I have witnessed the amazing amount of stuff you can pack into the thing. Makes me dream of great camping trips and loads of beer.
I'm a furniture designer/craftsman, and have hauled the following in my Vibe since getting it 11/12/02:One large 5' tall custom easel. Lumber to make 6 more easels, Then 4 large easels the next day. One hot Green bean caserole to feed 20. One new tall lamp, and the alibaster shade for it. 6.6 Board feet of red oak. A plethora of groceries. A tall computer desk/stand. A mobile computer/projector stand. There's been more, but details get lost. Needless to say, The Vibe has not yet denied me a way to transport the stuff I used to take in my Pickup. One improvement I'd like to see.... an automatically opening rear tailgate. I can unlock the gate while both hands are loaded with groceries, but not open it. One more button on the key fob would be greatly appreciated. KSneptune
I brought an 8ft ladder down to my boat. Loaded the vibe up with all the berth cushions, ****pit cushions, all the sails, the electronics, the battery and other assorted stuff I take off the boat for the winter. There was still room to spare. I used to have to use my wifes montana for this chore.
Base 2 tone Salsa, auto, power pack Mississauga, Ontario, Canada I'd rather be sailing but the Vibe makes me a happy landlubber.
My Vibe can hold three mountain bikes and three people, all inside. I was coming back from the Jaguar's game last week and had seven people and 4 coolers three seats and a partridge and pear tree Kids, don't try this at home

I saw 4 guys leaving IKEA with a whole load of purchases. I watched them trying to fit it all in a new Mazda P5, it was totally hilarious. I wanted so bad to say "shoulda bought a Vibe", I still regret biting my tongue.

One of the big reasons for giving up my Mustang was because of the space. And my love for ice hockey. It was a chore to load up the Mustang to go play hockey and if I took a friend, I had to allow for extra time to pack up the car. Now I just fold down the larger of the two rear seats and I can take myself and 2 of my friends to go play and have plenty of room for the 3 oversized hockey bags, 6 or so sticks, and all 3 of us passengers ride comfortably. Also, my mom went out and bought a new Christmas tree and couldn't fit the box into the trunk of my stepdad's 2002 Monte Carlo SS because the box was too high. So later that night I got the call asking if I could come out and pick it up for her. With one rear seat down, the Vibe handled it with ease. But I still think my mom just wanted another ride in my Vibe because she is now thinking about getting an AWD one for herself! She often has to travel for work and is moving around frequently from apartment to apartment so the extra cargo room would benefit her plus the AWD for getting around in the winter would be nice too.

Just made a long journey home with the Vibe loaded to the gunwales. I thought we would never get all of our Christmas purchases, suitcases, etc. into that little car. It swallowes it all up with ease and could have taken even more.. Neat!

Experienced another GREAT test of the Vibe's storage capabilities this weekend. Just took my daughter to college and FILLED my Vibe with the entire contents of her dorm including: Small refrigerator, chair, PC, food, misc books & supplies, makeup & clothes, clothes, clothes (did I say my daughter?). Packed full, the vehicle still handled safely and drove comfortably. BTW, I got 30 MPG on the 1 1/2 hour trip with the A/C on. I continue to be impressed by this car!

When I was shopping for a car I brought a dog crate with me to check out the room in back and found the Mazda way too small. With the seats down my Vibe has more room that my Pathfinder had and 2x the milage!
