Post by LesPaul »

I got a crack in my front right fog light....called GM asked for a price, the parts person said $240 CAN. I almost lost it . Anyway I figure i can get some sweet aftermarkets fog lights for that price. Does anyone no of any aftermarket fog lights that will fit nicely in the stock facia holes

you can get PIAA replacements from toyo but they are overpriced for $400 USD. go to your local parts store and almost any of the fogs will work. i got some that are smaller than the OEM ones, but they look fine and light much better. $60 and my dad helped me install them.

That's good to know, cuz the OEM ones are ridiculously expensive for a little light! Jeebus, how much is a headlight then!!!

With smaller ones you have, does it affect your CAI in anyway.... seeing as the CAI filter is pretty close to the fog light. Excuse me for askin so many question ...also did u wire them up so they turn with your stock switch, or did you use the one provided with the kit.

Not that will help your situation now but I made some covers for my fog lights. I want to have foglights when I really need them. I don't ever use them just for looks but when I need them they will be there unharmed. I got two suction cups ( 2 1/2 inches in diam. ) and some black plastic/rubber like material from some old mudflaps I had laying around the garage and used a bench grinder to shaped them in a oval shape. Then I used the screw from the suction cups and drilled a hole in the shaped peices to hold the suction cups on. I just wet the suction cups and they stick until I pull them off. In the winter here in Montana they use pea gravel on the roads and it would be rare indeed to make it through one season without getting a foglight put out by a rock. Problem solved for me anyway.

There're some sweet projector (removed) lights in a little tiny black shell about the diameter of a clementine. They light really nice and are about $50 for the set...they wouldn't come close to fitting in the stock holes since they are so small but they look sweet. I'm thinkin about getting a pair and installing one in the middle of each bottom grill.
