It is blended with gasoline to create gasohol, which produces fewer greenhouse gases than gasoline.Angie Robson, a spokeswoman for Energy Minister Dwight Duncan, said the government is in talks with stakeholders to see how the government can fulfil its election promise. In the past year, Manitoba and Saskatchewan have enacted legislation requiring gasoline to include more ethanol.A number of U.S. states already require ethanol to be blended with gasoline, Teneycke said.
