K&N typhoon part number?

Post by fancynewwheels »

I have decided to get the K&N typhoon Short Ram for my vibe 04 non-GT (Base)But, nobody has part numbers so my supply guy can't order it... Anybody kind enough to post the part number for me? PLEASE!!! I can't go with Injen CAI because I live in Canada, and that might suck up a little too much water.... ie. snow on the ground (or so a guy at the track was telling me...)

According to K&N site there is only air filter and drop in filter for the Vibe no typhoon. http://www.knfilterchargers.co....aspx

For the 2003 they have one.. #69-8600 and the letters at the end are for the color. Maybe these fit the 04s? Does anybody know? I phoned one store and they can get one for the 04 and have one at another store. I just would like to save a few dollars through my parts man.. Thanks everybody!

The 03 and the 04 are exactly the same for K&N Typhoon... Thanks to Canadian Tire for that one... (Amazing they knew that but nobody else did)

for the base models, they are not any diff. only the gt models are different due to a smog pump added in the 04 models.

Actually the same part number is used for the GT also. The air pump doesn't come into play with a short ram.

sorry. i meant that the engines are the same. so the short ram would not change at all. only the gt engines were diff for 03 and 04. and now the 05 is diff too in hp. but i believe the smog pump is the same like the 04.

Too bad there is no Lordco Parts in AB yet. How much those knuckle heads at C.T. charging you?

I've installed the K&N short ram intake on my wife's Vibe and noticed a quick ticking sound at idle after 10-15 minutes of driving. Any thoughts of what it might be?

This has come up before, it is probably the MAF, this happens, but now that you have an intake installed, it doesn't muffle the sound so now you notice it.
