Does anyone have Kumho Ecsta ASX tires?

Post by Jerrod (Knellblast) »

These are a pretty new all-season tire, and from the reviews I've read seem like a great tire for the price. I was just wondering if anyone here is riding on these, and if so, how do you like them?

I have the Ecsta Supra...and I love them...From what I've been hearing, anything in the Ecsta family is fantastic!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Very cool. I just read a few posts down, and ZubenElGenubi has a set of Ecsta ASX's. I wonder how they're treating him.

Glad you asked. Only put about 500 miles on them...so far so good. Tiny bit noisier than the OEM Continentals. Maybe there's a placebo effect to help me justify my last-second purchase of them, but they do feel like they handle a little better. There are a couple of sharp turns on my way to work that I take at around 40-45 mph and I don't feel any slip.Oh, and they look real nice !Pics of wheels+tires:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11000

I have those ASX tires. I got them in May and have over 3k miles on them. They have been great! I actually think they are quieter than the stock Continentals. Traction has been great, smooth, I'm very happy with them. They were $101 at Tirerack.com when I bought them. My size is 225-40-18.Here is a pic:Later,

Good deals! I'm getting the 225/40-18's as well, and I'm really happy to hear that you like the tires so much. It makes my purchase that much easier. By the way, I bought a set of 18" Mille Miglia EV-S wheels on Ebay, and the jerk didn't hook me up with lugs. Do you know what kind of lugs I'm supposed to get, and what size? I noticed you have the EVO5's, and that's the only reason I'm asking. Thanks a lot!
