Has anyone looked into a lager aftermarket radiator. here is the deal with where i want to go with my GT:trany cooler to keep that trany cool- aftermarket radiator keep that engine cool- ground effects- and a real working ram air system- I was looking at the exhaust and was thinking if at all possible in the future to replace the manifold to somthing lighter- I am also waiting for the after market clutch to come out to replace that- and shocks I don't want coil overs- an more to come...

I thought you were going a little crazy with all this stuff until I saw that you are from Las Vegas. Ok, it gets pretty hot there so some extra cooling would be beneficial. I haven't heard of any aftermarket radiators for the Vibe yet, but many good radiator shops can probably custom make one for you to meet your needs. As for tranny cooling, I don't think that the manual tranny has any cooling lines for it, as there is no tranny fluid cooler on the car to begin with and I don't think that it runs lines into the radiator like auto tranny cars do. So if you want to add and aftermarket tranny cooler, you'd have to drill into the tranny and install lines for the fluid to flow to and from the cooling unit. You'd also have to find a way to make the fluid flow unless the cooling unit has some kind of pump built into it. I don't know that I would want to go drilling holes into my tranny. Also, are you waiting for a specific brand of aftermarket clutch? I think that there are already a few available that can be used on the GT. Aftermarket clutches for the Celica GT-S should work on a Vibe GT since the engine and tranny are just about the same.

Waste of money. The radiator that comes with the car should be more than sufficient, for any climate. They are tested to death. The Vibe is built and tested in Calyfornia. Save your money and buy a chocolate bar instead.
the largest benifit you get from replacing the rediator is cooling and reduction in knock retard, which is very bad for the engine. the climate in cali is not even close to the dry climate here is vegas. as i was born and raised in huntington beach CA 7 years, lived in bakersfield for 3 years, and san diego for 3 years and san fransico for 2 years, then NC for 1.5 years, and vegas for 10. and HI for 3 years so a larger better radiator would be a huge help. to keep my gtp cool i had to replace the coolant to pruple ice replace the radiator and the thurmostat to a 160 and add a trany cooler. it ran so much cooler it was perfect. till the crash........

yeah, but the engine and tranny are straight out of the GT-S so I think that the Celica clutch should work without any modification. I think that a while back someone called a performance shop and they were looking up the part #'s for the stock Vibe GT clutch and the Celica GT-S one and they were the same part. If you're really serious about a performance clutch, just call around to some shops and ask if they are the same. I'd bet that they are.
