Nothing wrong. Just little too big.I'm planning getting a 10" instead of my current 12" and put it in a custom fiberglass enclosure molded to the interior.I want to build something somilar to the optional OEM 8" sub, but with a 10" instead.

If you have space (depth), the Infinity Reference 10" or the Alpine Type R's are really nice. They might not be JL, but they're not as pricy, and the Type R is a dual-voice coil.

I'm currently watching e-bay on those 3 sub (JL, Infinity and Alpine).I'm not very stressed to get it, so I'll be patient and wait for a good deal.

I was looking for a JL 10 W3V2 on e-bay.I was ready to bid and I wanted to wait to the very last minute before bidding.I was at work and the telephone rang 2 mins before the auction end, so I missed it.I missed a W3V2 for $92!!!!!!

What kind of overall output are you looking for? is a single 10" sub going to provide that?consider brands like Elemental Designs and Adire. They make outstanding products that are very well priced for their quality and capabilities. If you have the power, consider an Adire Brahma 10". Its a very serious driver, with capabilities far beyond any of those listed here.yeah, I know they are more expensive, but think of it this way. The Brahma MKII 10" has the power handling and displacement capabilities to exceed even a pair of Type R's or W3's easily, if not more. So you're literally getting two for the price (and size requirement) of one! Considering this, I think they're a steal! http://adireaudio.com/Files/cu...e.pdf There is a spot in BC that sells them shipping included....the MKII 10" can be had for under $500 cdn shipped: http://www.creativesound.ca/de...0MkIIyou won't be disappointed!bmoney

Thanks for the input, but they are 1- too expensive and 2- way too big for what I need.I have only a JBL 180.2 (360W peak) to drive the single sub I will get and I'm not planning remplacing this amp shortly. So having a 1300W RMS sub drived by a 200W rms (around, if not less) amp is totally worthless.

Finally I bought a JL 10W3.I found a guy on e-bay who has some and I found out he lives at 30 mins from my house. So I met him yesterday and bought it for $120.
