Good deal at Autozone right now (I think) for Mobil1

Picked up a case of Mobil1 5w-30 and a Mobil1 oil filter all for 29.99 yesterday.Good deal or no?

Yeah, actually, they say that any kind of Mobil 1 oil is on sale. You have to get 5 quarts of it though. That's the only way to get that free filter.

Isn't a 5qt jug of Mobile 1 Synthetic only $20? I've been buying it at Wal-Mart for $20 a jug. If the Mobile 1 filter is $10 then why is it such a great deal?EDIT: Oh...I see, he bought a case of oil. How many qts are in a case?

6 qts in a case. Normal price for the filter at Autozone is $11.99

Its not as convenient as having a lot of 1 qt bottles, but for full oil changes they are great! The price tends to fluctuate at Wal-Mart too, sometimes they are on sale a little cheaper than their usual low price.

I've been getting my Mobil 1 at Sam's Club for a little under $24 for the case of 6 quarts. Then I go and buy the filter at Murray's for around $10. Sam's has the best price on the oil that I have found.
