2005 AWD Suspension mods question

Post by vibemoon »

Hello everybody. I am new to the GenVibe forum. Just picked up my 2005 Vibe AWD yesterday afternoon. I am looking into putting spring and struts and possibly a new sway bar into it, but I am not sure the suspension is the same for the 2005 AWD as it is for the 2004. Please help.

I agree with trdvibe, the suspension is the same I believe but I don't know if they have the same rear sway bar as a non AWD. The AWD has the independent rear suspension. I haven't seen any sways for an AWD personally. And welcome to GenVibe. Too bad you didn't have your Vibe a little sooner. You could have brought it to the Michigan Rally this past Saturday. Oh well, I'm sure we'll see you there next year.

That's correct, no rear sway bar avail for the awd. No aftermarket struts available for any of the models. As for springs I recomend the Eibach Pro-kits. The other springs drop the rear of the awd too low IMO.

Thanks for your input and the warm welcome. I only found out the Fenton meet the day after it was over otherwise I would have been there to check out the rides. Now I need to find the legal tint percentage for the front windows in Michigan. I have seen a number of places to get it done posted here, but no mention of the % allowed.
