No, that's not normal or acceptable. Take it back to the dealer and get them to find and fix the problem.

Yea, I think I will do that. There is a some stuff I want them to check. Like the vibration, a rattle and my stering wheel. I don't know why, but it feel "slack" I don`t know how to say it... If feel I have to turn to mush for the car to react. I can drive in a strait line and turn the stering wheel 5 degre to the left or right without changing direction. Anyway, I will have them check that.

You can read older posts by choosing Show active threads from last ALL from the pulldown menu at the bottom of the screen.Vibration was one of several problems (that the dealer could not fix) that made me sell my Vibe back to the dealer.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=445

The thing is, I don't have any "clank" or any other noise. Sometime, there is a vibration at idle, sometime I don't feel anythig. I don't think it's the same problem... Maybe my Vibe is too new, or just a transmission oil change will solve the problem. Anyway, I will have them check it.Btw, there is no problem with my direction. I think it was just in my head. It turn, what I want it to turn.

Vibration at idle and under acceleration occurred after the mechanic 'fixed' the clank noise on my Vibe. They tried to fix the vibration by loosening the engine mount bolts, engaging Drive, and then retightening the bolts with the engine running, bending the exhaust pipes, and finally clamping about 15 pounds of lead weights onto the exhaust system near the tailpipe. They were unsuccessful.Other Vibe owners with vibration problems suggested that their idle shake problems were cured by replacing all four engine mounts. As you noticed, sometimes the idle vibration is worse. I noticed that when the vibration was particularly bad, the idle speed would be going up and down.

Ok, yesterday, I was at my dealer for my problems.1 - Vibration problem :It look likes it append when I start the car and it's cold outside. There's a big vibration in the car. It still append a few minutes after I drive, but it go aways. The dealer know about the problem (the guy at the reception was able to feel the vibration). I was not able to reproduce the problem when the mecanic check it (the car was not cold anymore). So, the dealer can't help me because I was not able to reproduce it. There is no problem, no fix...2- Noise problem :It's not a rattle after all. I found out that the noise append when I accelerate over 2000rmp. When I press the gaz pedal, there is a shhhh noise. Like a little vibration noise. It sound like sand in a hose or something like that. It might be normal... Can you guy's here something like that ? It's a very little sound, like a background noise. If you release the gaz pedal, the noise stop. So, I'm still pistof at my dealer. I was there 3hrs, I ask them 2 time to have a ride home, nobody help me. I had to call someone. The did fix something. There was a bolt of the manifold not tight enought... They say it was causing the vibration. 3hrs for that. And guest was, the sound is still there... They suck.

GM sends out a satisfaction survey, use that as a weapon against the dealer.
Base 2 tone Salsa, auto, power pack Mississauga, Ontario, Canada I'd rather be sailing but the Vibe makes me a happy landlubber.
