A little advice before I buy....

Post by fancynewwheels »

Well, ladies and gents, I have been searching and reading and such about cars that will fit my needs and wants and I have come down to purchasing a 04 vibe.My next question, is what do people reccommend for aftermarket wheels? I am thinking of getting factory steel wheels and later on putting on nice after market wheels after its first winter experience. Where would I find a cataloge of stuff available to Canada for wheels that fit? Also, I'm looking to find ways to increase fuel milage as well as increasing power. What are some suggestions as well as how to get them? Especially since I am going with the 130hp engine, I would like to increase that a bit without breaking the bank. Any other suggestions? I am appreciative of advice since most of you have a some experience with vibes and matrixs. Thanks everybody!

But you need to move fast -- the 05's are moving in quickly, 04's are disappearing just as fast.Quote »My next question, is what do people reccommend. Realize that you likely can't have both. Each comes at a tradeoff to the other. More HP = poor fuel economy. Good fuel economy is hard to achieve with more power. Typical modifications are exhaust and/or cold air intakes. While some have reported improved economy with a CAI, I have yet to see that. But I didn't put mine on to save gas -- I did it to make more power. The other alternative is the supercharger. That's about $3000 US installed, and will require you to upgrade to premium gas. But it will give you the best power increase across the entire power band.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Not accessories, but a site or something that is dedicated to aftermarket "toys" for vibes and matrix. Thanks a lot!
