Went to Milan Race Track Last Night

Post by jackospades »

Hey Guys went to the track last night(wrong night) for my first test and tune runs. First mistake going on friday when they have Gamblers and Bracket racing going on. I only ran once for 20 bucks. But on to the numbers.Reation=+.12960FT= 2.604330 FT= 7.1311/8 MPH= 65.791000ft ET= 14.0651/4 ET =16.7151/4 MPH= 85.72Any suggestions. I only have the Injen Intake wanna exhaust but just had a baby so that is out for now. They told me I had a good reaction time but I need to get my 60 ft time down. Car ran good though no Spinning with my new Kuhmo's ecsta. Thanks for replies.

what car is this(base or GT), not bad times, any idea on how much more time you could shave off if you got the 60 down, and if you got a GT were are you shifting at?? generally w/ the GT 8300-8400 seems to work, when i started shifting there from 7800-8000 my 0-60 time went down a whole 1.6 seconds

yeah, man... if you give your 60ft some attn, you'll see a big diff... and like evanshall said, shifting at 8200+ may help you a great deal cuz then you'll never fall out of lift after hitting it in first (this is assuming you have a GT)

Thanks for the replies fellas (except for the Roll Tide!!!) Yeah I have a GT I was shifting around 8000 rpms I didnt come out of lift except from 1-2 shift the car did great. I believe with some more practice I should drop some. 1.6 seconds shaved off would be deadly. I'll let ya'll know what happens in a couple of weeks.

You should go down to Milan again on Saturday night. I'm heading out there with a buddy of mine. I was out there a couple of weekends ago and ran terrible runs. But, now I have a new clutch, so I'm gonna give it another whirl. Would be really cool to see two Vibes out there.

That would be sweet but I am heading below the Mason Dixon Line to the Beautiful state of Alabama to show my new lil baby girl to the rest of the folks. Sorry. I will post again when me and the club go again.

THe day that I went it was $35 dollars, but that was cuz it was the Under the Lights night put on by xceedspeed.com. I think usually its only around $25 for test and tunung nights which are every wed and fri.

I will have to head down there sometime when you are going. I would love to run mine down the 1/4 mile and see what kind of times I can get.

I didn't see any other Vibes besides myself there. I might have just missed it though.
