Wow, must have variable displacement for that kind of mileage. And with cassette and third row seating?? Sign me up. Seriously, I wonder what car they got it confused with?
I saw an ad last weekend that was labeled 04 Grand Am, it was REALLY low price, and they had a pic of an 04 Grand Prix.*shakes head in disgust*It's sad when the general public knows more about cars than the people who are supposed to sell them.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
This clipping belongs in the back of an Autoweek, under the "IMMORTAL GLASSY-EYEDS" section. lolI remember a while back, the local Nissan dealer was advertizing the deals one could get on the Nissan "ULTIMA" and there was a video clip of a Pathfinder twisting its way down this 2-lane mountain road...

Wow, the thread title sure got me to look here fast! I know how to end this dealer's multiple crazy claims. I'll ask them to sell me the Vibe that they have on their lot that the ad is supposed to be for. After I buy it, I'll drive straight to my lawyer's offices with a copy of the ad in hand and sue the dealer for fraudulent misrepresentation. I'll tell them that I'll give them one chance to avoid court if they will either equip the car as they advertised it or buy back the car in cash for 10 times what they sold it to me for. That should take care of that.

The same ad has a 2003 suburban with the same details. There is also a Saturn sedan shown with a V8, 4x4, running boards, third row seat, etc.Sorry stang, the ad has fine print, some disclaimer about them not being responsible for typos, probably sufficient enough to keep from having to sell you a V8 Vibe
see, they probably have their adds designed by some other company, making them not responsible for typos. if they had a big sign on their lot saying "supercharged v8 vibe" you could prob hold them to it

Perhaps it would be the printing company's fault? Do you really think they are trying to advertise that info for a Vibe? It is clearly for an SUV, probably the Envoy.Typos people, typos.Maybe your post should say "I don't think I'll ever read a newspaper from these people"
I think you're right, Pablo. Now that I think about it and with the extra info that joatmon gave, it sounds like the printing company goofed with the ad layout. So, no, the dealer isn't responsible in that case and I'm out one V8 Vibe or a whole bunch of cash.

At least it is an "honest" mistake. Unlike ads that feature a low price and then at the bottom there is tiny mice print explaining that is after (1) $2,000 regular rebate (2) $1,000 loyalty rebate (3) $1,000 disloyalty rebate (4) $750 military rebate (5) $500 college grad rebate (6) $1,000 financing rebate, and (7) $3,000 cash or equity trade. In Ohio the Attorney General has special rules on car advertising but enforcement is near zero and they tell me that they can't get the judges to take them seriously anyway. I forget the details but a few years ago there was some dude running a consumer rip-off and was told that if he didn't stop doing that he was going to be facing charges. Like telling a bank robber - if you don't quit that we're going to put you in jail. Meanwhile the local police are ticketing citizens for not signaling when making a left turn from a left turn lane and having a burned out license plate light.
