I can't remember if anyone here has, but greenfire over on matrixowners.com has and I don't think he's had any problems.

teamonkeys has a Supercharged AWD Vibe and I have a SC 4wd Matrix. No problems thus far. Only disavantage is that you can't not replace the header on the 4wd (easily) to gain more horsepower. The 4wd header is very restrictive. Other than that issue, no problems. Last I hear Teamonkey's car was running fine too.

Go turbo instead! Then you'd be talking some serious fun!

Port and polishing just cleans up the intake tracks for less turbulant airflow. It is usually done in conjunction with a three-angle valve job that optimizes airflow around the valves. All this doesn't come cheap though....I looked at doing it for my Cobra, and it was about 800 a head.

The problem with the 4wd header is that the first cat is part of the manifold. I tried to get a custom one made but the shop did not even want to attemp it. I thought about the possiblity of porting it out and relpacing that cat with a pipe. Would be expensive and difficult to find a shop that will try it.I was planning on going to the track tonight, but got rained out. My 1/8 mile time should be awsome. However, once the car gets into 3rd gear the show is over. Don't forget the 4wd is heavy and the gear ratios of the auto are slower. A GT/XRS will still be faster in the 1/4 mile.... But when it rains and snows...
