I know most like the S-Tech (lower and less-expensive than the H-Tech), but because I have the sport package, I don't want to drop more than 2".Does anyone here have the H-Tech springs? Like to hear some personal reviews on them. Based on spring ratings I've seen, they would seem to have a smoother ride (i.e., not stiff). Drop is estimated to be 1.7" (front), 1.5" (back). Thanks!
well, i don't know, but i have the TRD springs and they are somewhat similar in ride height. they are 1.5" in the fronts and 1.25" in the rear? someone can correct me if i'm wrong. but if i had the sport package, since it sits another inch or 2 lower, i wouldn't get any less! you hit a pothole or a high angle curb, you're bottomed out.
they are stiffer for sure. but not really bad. i don't mind the ride at all. the handling is much better and well worth the slight sacrifice for ride... but i doubt i'd go any lower for fear that i wouldn't get far outta the driveway in winter!
I have the Eibach Pro-Kit springs on my Vibe (without Sport Package) and I personally thought the handling improved overall over stock with the new springs. Just the right balance of comfort and handling you can get.I'm sure the H-Tech and TRD (rebranded Eibach Pro-Kit springs) will be your best fit if your concerned with keeping enough clearance with the sport package.
A 2 inch drop with Tein springs and your sports appearance package should be fine. I have researched it a bit myself for I'm very likely to get both the springs and the kit myself for my Vibe. A friend of mine has those springs on her Vibe and they are awsome, with clearance as well.

um... hun, just remember where you might be for NEXT winter... snow is a bit thicker here and stays on the ground much much longer. i never lowered my cougar and i traded that in for the tundra because i got stuck in the parking lot at work for 2 hrs until someone could help dig me out! i would NOT recommend 2" plus body kit if you live in an area w/ sizeable amounts of snow, especially if it STAYS on the ground!
lol. sorry. i've moved 27 times and i am not even 27 yrs old yet. so no moving for some time for me. i've lived in tx, va, ne,wa, or, co, id, ca, japan, korea (6 mos), england, and ak... and not in that particular order and some several times moving back and forth or from town to town. only 4 states i have never been to and they are mostly new england and south carolina.and there are not many areas as beautiful as ak. i've lived all over and travelled all over. no other place really i'd rather LIVE. (well, anchorage area only ) love to travel and visit, but not live there.

Well with GM being the only body kit makers so far and being bloody expensive... this won't be a concern for a while. Besides, I'll just buy a winter truck heh... wanna split payments Hope?

well i could drive you to work since i have to have wheels... LOL it'll be awhile before i could get another vehicle, a house, or whatever else. all wishful thinking you know. but in a few yrs, will be able to afford it! (i'm hoping)
This is ilquikgtx's Vibe (recently sold) (pics below) with the sport package and I believe Progress springs (regardless, more than a 2"+ drop). You will notice it's pretty close to the ground. Also be aware, his Vibe was an AWD so the rear end will look a little lower since the springs were not specifically made for the AWD rear independent suspension. You can at least get a general idea with the sport package and a 2"+ drop.Pic 1: http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/03MI1/DSCF0015Pic 2: http://gallery.genvibe.com/gal..._mem1Pic 3: http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/03MI2/DSCF0027I don't think I've seen a Vibe with the Sport Package with any other type of springs, with less of a drop.
Thanks for the pix, Nick! That really does help me visualize the drop better. I saw pics of a Matrix XR with Tein H-techs and the rear drop was much like shown here (lower than expected). I'm hoping that mine won't drop that much...just enough to align the tire and wheel well.Just wish I was patient enough to get the SS coilovers...

Found more pics from a Vibe with the Sport Package from last year's Northeast rally (pics below). I cannot remember the owner/member name (anyone?) but there is an Eibach sticker on the window. Not sure if they are the Pro-Kit or Sportline springs (I'm guessing the Pro-Kit, comparing drop height with the Pro-Kit springs on my Vibe).Pic 1: http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/03NE1/DSCF0081Pic 2: http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/03NE1/DSCF0079
The rear of that Vibe must be at least 2.5 inch drop, those rear wheels are tucked. Looks nice though, I'd have a problem getting that in my driveway to unless it was backed in.

anyone know how much lower the sport package makes the vibe? from stock??? anyone wanna go measure? hint hint... i'd be curious to see what the diff would be. maybe an inch or two?
At least an inch, maybe 2. So a 2 inch vehicle drop and a 2 inch body kit drop = 4 inch drop over all if my highschool math does not abandon me Thats pretty low..

ya, that's what i'm thinking... i went into the ditch this winter (due to my own mishaps) and it was really hard getting it out... can't imagine if it were sitting lower... but still, would just mean i can't do any more ebrake slides. LOL
