It probably would work, just don't go up in size. The muffler will take away some backpressure to give you better performance, but I think going up in pipe size would take too much away and you would have an absolute slug around town. I know some will disagree, but that is what i think.Just go with the muffler and a tip. Anything more than that without a S/C is probably detrimental.
I would stay with the stock size pipe and replace the stock muffler with your flowmaster, or like me a magnaflow. I like them because they don't resonate into the box. All the sound goes out the back. I hear the intake more than the exhaust.
My 50 series went on great. You just need to make sure you get the right inlet/outlet offset. just take a peek at you stock muffler and that will let you know. I don't really like the sound of the magnaflow's. Had one on my sunfire. Way to raspy/tingy for me, especially when cold.
yeah, according to what i have read up on, the 60 series is my best bet. i'll prob check the local performance shops to get a price. then, i can get a discount on the install! (my uncle knows a guy at the muffler shop)now that i think of it, he knows someone at the parts store too!
