I hope my Vibe gets out of the collision shop in time for the big meet!

Post by Jerrod (Knellblast) »

2 Sundays ago, I was with my girl at Lakeside Mall driving around the loop, when a 70 year old man in a Cadillac pulled out right in front of me to make a left. It was a pain in the neck trying to convince his insurance company that he was at fault, because the cops can't come onto private property, but I finally got them to pay my $500 deductable, and I put the car in the shop last Thursday (I had to wait for a free loaner). They estimated the cost of fixing it at $5,000, and about 17 days to fix it. I'm hoping it's sooner than that. The damage wasn't very serious, considering that it was drivable and the airbags didn't go off, but I'm pretty sure the whole front end is being replaced. I swear, I've only had this car for 4 months, and I've had the worst luck with it, despite loving it to death. Well, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I can show it off at the big meet in a few weeks. I'll see everyone there regardless, because I'm going with my buddy and his Matrix. See you all soon!

Yep, I forgot to mention that... Everone was ok. I'm just glad I got the anti-lock brakes option, because it could have been worse. I took it to Collex on 14 and Mound, and so far I'm very happy with them. It's going to cost $5,000 because they have to replace 66 parts. Ouch!

Oh, I'll definitely be there. I wouldn't miss it for anything.
