Disabling the DRLs?

Post by waloupis »

Is there any way to disable the Daytime Running Lights? I love the car's looks, except for the 'headlights' being on ALL the time. I don't think the Toyota has them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are probably a couple of dozen threads on this already, but currently there is a bug in the search function that always returns zero results for anything three characters or less, so . you can't find anything searching for DRL, MPG, ECU, CEL, AWD, etc Try http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1188I used the "cut the red wire method", easy to hook up to a new switch by the in-dash coin holder. I still leave it enabled most of the time though, I kind of like the auto headlights feature.

Thank you all for the quick replies. I guess I was a little anxious and jumped the gun before searching any threads first. I was kind of glad to have found genvibe. I've had my car less than a week but researched for over a month. I have an '04 GT; Shadow monotone, moon & tunes, protection pkg, and the best option ever....XM radio! Now it's off to find a thread for removing the cross bars on the roof rack.....
