Your opinion needed!

Post by Merzbow »

I am bored and was trying to decide wheather or not to paint my calipers...Of course they would be red, I have a base Vibe with the drum brake sin the rear so I was going to ask your opinion on painting the front calipers and maybe the rear drums, or maybe only the front calipers...what do you all think? Would it look weird with just the front calipers painted and nothing on the back?

My friend painted the calipers on his '93 Blazer blue...looked ok but they faded and his wheels kind of hid them.

Depends on your wheels...if they are open enough paint them all bro they will look wicked!Take a sideways pic of your car and have someone do a little photoshop on them...hell that is how I bought my wheels

Paint the drum a nice black and then paint the outer ring of the drum red. I saw a pic of a Matrix like that, it looked pretty good.

I've seen a couple cars (Civics) with their rear drums painted, and it looked horrible. Since your looking for opinions, I say don't paint the drums. Definitely do the fronts, though! Fading shouldn't be a problem with the G2 kit.

Fading shouldn't be a problem with the G2 kit. i second that. after looking at some other pics of base rear drums.... i'd say leave them. don't paint them red. or do what devlop suggested, paint the outer rim red only... but definitely use the g2 kit!
