Oh my god... thats horrible! They all need owners. And imagine some of us waited 6 months for our Vibes and there they have nothing but Vibes out there. Must be a huge dealership to have that many of one model on the lot.

That's probably more than are available in the entire city of Ottawa. Most dealers here only have a couple.

I guess it's all about where you are. I got my car from a dealership that always has 15 in stock. They still have an '04 mono Abyss GT that was there in September when I got mine!

My wife is really interested in getting a monotone Satellite Vibe GT. The thing is she wants an '03 model - she has no desire for an '04 or the upcoming '05. We are down in MD, so taking a drive up to NJ to get one of those wouldn't be out of the question. Where exactly is this dealership?

AFAIK, all of those were 04 models. Remember, VERY little varied between 03 and 04...mainly, minor horsepower losses, the gauges, and a few other very miniscule things.Anyway, feel free to come up this way, this was atFreehold Buick/Pontiac/GMC4404 Route 9 South (Rt 9 and Craig Road)Freehold, NJ 07728Toll Free: 888-734-1937 I did a quick search of the dealer's inventory online, only two 03 models on the lot: one AWD, one GT.The only 03 GT on the lot is supposedly Abyss. But who knows how accurate these systems are...your best bet would be to call...If you decide to come up to the area and want to meet up for some reason, drop me an IM, I live about 20 minutes from there, would be happy to meet wtih you and family...Edit: Checked a few other dealers in the area, only other 03 GTs I could find were a Neptune and 2 Lavas. No indications of any being mono or two tone.

Not a whole lot different from the 03 and 04 though I sorta liked the red dash on the 03 but have gotten quite content and used to the 04 one which is red and white. HP loss though? Mine is the same as the 2003 base Vibe.

GT's lost some horses...173 (i think) in 04 vs 180 in 03. Stricter emissions on the GT model...

Thanks for the info ragingfish. My wife doesn't have a problem with the '04 per se, but she figures that she can pay a cheaper price for a new '03, since dealers should be trying to get rid of them. With the '05s not too far away, her logic doesn't seem faulty. If we happen into the area raging fish, I will certainly IM you and give you a heads up ahead of time.

Oh yeah, one quick addition. She is hung up on the fact that the '03 has seven more horses than the '04. I tried to explain that the '04 gets better gas mileage, but that didn't seem to matter.

Well 7 horses isn't HUGE...but a horse is a horse...How adamant is she about getting Satellite?Nothing like twin abyss's...Or Lava is hot...no pun intended!

Apparantly it is Satellite or nothing. Well... Shadow is an acceptable alternative. I like the idea of twin Abysses. How sweet would that be?

The idea seems cool. Non-Vibers think the idea of both of us owning the same car is stupid and a waste of money. They just don't understand! Neither one of us have driven the '04 yet. I suppose we will soon. I seriously doubt that there is a difference in the way it drives. Like I noted earlier, I believe that the horses and the MPG are the only differences (the '04 gets about two extra gallons a mile on the highway).

Are front license plates required in NJ? I notice all of them except for the 2nd and 3rd from left have brackets. I am glad that we do not need them in MI!

I see nothing wrong with that, but if you end up getting the same color it might be too easy to confuse one with the other.Maybe you should have it rekeyed so they both can operate on the same key, now that would be fun. Just jump in the one that has the fuller gas tank and take off!

Lots of 04's and a few 05's spotted today: And as an aside, this was my first sighting in person of a two-tone salsa: And I have to say, it looks REALLY good in person! And for the record, NJ must hate GT's. About 40 Vibes seen today, only ONE GT!

A couple of guys did a dyno on a 03 and 04 XRS and the hp was the same and peek torque the same also. The 04 had a better torque curve(earlier).
