A friend of mine told me he was getting a Ducatti if he paid the $200 to get it out of the shop. Then he said he didn't have any idea what to do with it since he's never ridden a motorcycle. I told him in about a month I'd pay him double what he paid for it and he said sure, so in a month or so I'm gonna have a freshly serviced Ducatti for $400
Sweet, those are so exotic looking, not to mention their awesome sound! Just remember to keep up on all the maintainence because from what i understand if anything goes wrong it can be an arm and a leg to fix. Get a service manual and it should tell you everything you need to know.

I'm getting ready to move into a house with two mechanics in it, but I think Ducatti's are a bit out of their area of expertise, so that kind of sucks. I'm not sure what model or year it is, which I might wanna find out >_>Maybe I can bring it up on a trailer to a meet and let people try it out

My Dad used to have a 55 Triumph with an extended nose bar. It was a bee-yoo-tee-full bike Edit: By the way, nice avatar. I just got done watching the Hobo13 episode. "And a clown! AND A CLOOWWWNNN!!!" ^^

No, it's not the same guy, this guy works at a gas station and doesn't make nearly enough to afford to overpay for things like that, but he's the one who told me about the offer. He said it was one of his regulars at the gas station and after that I never heard about it. I didn't expect that to go through all that much, but it would have been nice if it had.I don't know what year or model the bike is, I'll find out when I have enough gas money to make it over to his house (I'm flat broke at the moment) Also, I asked my dad about the Triupmh and I had the year wrong, it was a 1951 650cc Triumph.
No idea, god knows he could use the extra money (Nothing negative, he just has a lot of payments to make for the amount he makes). Also, I asked him about it today and he said he'd get the year/model information on it for me, and said that it's not completely serviced, there's still some more things to do on it. His dad (A backyard mechanic of more years than I've been alive) told him if he got a manual for the bike he could repair it for him.

MY friend that's getting it from the shop and selling it to me is supposed to find out the specs for me. I should probably pressure him to find out a bit faster

I don't know, that's why I haven't updated with a yes or a no. I'm waiting on my friend to buy it, then once I actually have extra money to spend on it, I'll buy it from him. If the friend I'm buying it from doesn't know yet, then I sure don't know yet : Good news is I got another job, so maybe I can pay my dad back, pay my speeding ticket, and get the money for it a bit faster.
A while back, I was in my dad's van (Honda Odyssey) and I got a ticket for going 7 over the posted : The bad thing is my point situation. Before, I was at 11 out of 12 points, that ticket put it at 14 out of 12, so I'm waiting and taking a driver's ed course to take away the ticket points before I pay it. Since I've gotten so many tickets, I almost always use cruise control at the limit.

It was supposed to be paid by April 1st, I was making minimum wage then and soon after left my job due to the illegal cut in paychecks (They were cutting our paychecks by almost half, and it's hard enough to survive off of minimum anyways ) and the new due date is the 14th of this month.
Did you report this to anyone? It is illegal to pay less than minimum wage. You would think a company would think about legal issues before they do something like that.

I'm getting in contact with the BBB, the IRS, and the Wage and Hour department. I left because of the situation, I can't stand unfair situations, and when they're screwing the employees who would have it bad enough making just minimum wage. Grrrr >.OA friend told me if the IRS gets involved, they'll investigate it and if it's true then we automatically get what's owed to us out-of-court.

Well we try to stay on topic as much as possible... I mean lots of things can "follow the natural path of discussion" but not have anything to do with Ducatti. There isn't anything wrong with it per se, but it should really go in off topic or in an IM.
