Hopping at accelleration

Post by Cmodee »

When I accellerate, my Vibe tends to hop - ie instead of wheel slippage it hops. Is there anything that anyone can suggest that keeps this from happening? Is there anything you can buy that helps keep the rubber from slipping? Essentially I'm thinking of buying the supercharger but I'm worried that I won't be able to get anything out of it because the suspension / wheels won't respond.thanksGreg

I did a couple good launches that spun the tires for a ways before hooking up with my 5-speed.....I say couple because the rest of the time it would just give me major wheel-hop. Sounding and feeling like the front end of the car was going to jump out and leave me behind.I'm guessing our Corolla struts aren't up to snuff to handle the extra curricular activities.P.S. It's the motor moving on its mounts. Firming them up by filling or inserts takes care of it. The front mount is the most important to fix. Not recomended for autos as it causes the shakes.
