I want to get lowering springs for my vibe, but their is so much wheel gap i'm not sure a 1.5" drop is going to make much of a difference. I'd still like to have a decent ride, so i probably dont want coilovers ... what would u guys suggest?

thanks. that's cool. but yea, like it said "you may wish your ride was lower" ... hmm, which is my problem. i'm worried i'm gonna spend 150 bucks on springs and not be able to tell big enough of a differance. what do u have on ur car and are you happy w/ it?
Actually havent purchased any yet. I know that there is some that will drop your car like 2-2.5" thats a nice drop I just cant find them right now. Ill keep looking I know I seen them.

yea, i've been looking around on ebay for a while trying to find a good deal on some for a while. the lowest i've seen is 2.25", which isnt bad, but it was 1" to 2.25" and it was some weird brand i'd never heard of *lol*
Tein S.Tech springs will give you a 2" ballpark drop...a little over 2" per wheel actually...I paid $100 for mine used...but I've heard of people getting them for not too much more than that new...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Havne't had them put in yet...got them last September, they will FINALLY go in next month...Pretty sure AtWork has the same ones, and a few others, haven't ever heard bad stuff about 'em.

That's actually cheaper than anything I could find on ebay w/ that much drop including shipping and handling thanks! i'm gonna shop around a little bit first, but i might just go for those *heh*
I have tein springs.2.25 drop front and rearhandles great ride is a little rougher than stock. I put them in in my drivewaythere is a pic on the link below
Don't freely cut coils...it's just noit smart...could lead to more problems...If you want to go any lower than that, I believe coilovers will bring you down about 3...but be ready to shell out massive cash...I believe I heard in the 1000+ range, but I could be wrong.

lol! yea, i was being very very sarcastic about cutting them. but i might go w/ coilovers. I have 4k to spend on my "summer car project" ... but daaang, i'm not sure if i'm willing to spend THAT much on them *hah*
What size rim/tire combo are you running? This will also determine how much wheel gap you have after lowering it. I have the stock 17's (as of now, HINT,HINT, CLUE,CLUE!) with the Eibach sportline springs. I can squeeze 2 fingers between the outside fender and the tire. Not much gap at all! i like the fender to hug the tire evenly all the way around, noy look like it's sitting on top of the tire. The ride is great. My wife can hardly tell the difference. This says a lot!

I think with this Turbo you will be at around 200hp maybe more here is the link.http://www.staffordfabrication...u=305With the GM (TRD) supercharger you are looking at around 180hp. If you buy this from GM it will be same price as the turbo so turbo would be best way but if you buy it from toyota do thishttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=9588if not GM's link is herehttp://www.gmgoodwrench.com/gm...on=pp
