Thanks for the pics. I haven't seen one in person yet. I'm still undecided if I like the '05 as well or not.

Ok, I've decided if you get rid of that silver trim around the grilles, and get it painted black, it won't be that bad in my opinion. I finally figured out that silver trim is what's driving me nuts...

If you want the lower portion, you gotta take the new grilles. Unless you have a body shop cut the 2 and do some fabrication to "glue" them together.

the 03 and 04 front fascia are 2 pieces.... that's why i need a lower front fascia because of my ditch dive this winter. the lower piece is listed at $500 alone! what a rip off!

I'm thinking about narrowing the single rear nozzle. If it's metal in plastic, I can just squeeze it somewhat flat in the horizontal plane with a pliers. If it's plastic, I'd use a tiny screw that has a hole drilled into it at 1/2 or 1/3 the size of the original rear opening, to get the 'mist'. Of course, I'd use a 'practice' nozzle to see if it would work before I'd sacrifice the real one.

since the nozzle just dumps the water onto the back window, i doubt backpressure will be an issue.

well, if it sprayed out, the car behind you would be getting a clean front windshield and you'd get nothing!

It does a better job at cleaning the window than the stream i used to have on my VW Golf. It shot from the wiper arm pivot point up onto the back window and because it misted slightly it took longer to clean the window....i'm impartial but for now the '2 nostril snot streams' do the trick!

I couldn't put my finger on it either, black that out and the inside of the lights, (that mod for the chrome light housings) and that would look pretty darn nice.

Maybe a little too much chrome.I'd definitely like to see a photoshop or this done in realtime eventually to compare.

read today that toyota changed the front windshield sprayers to the fan type......Mmmmm, sounds like a retro fit to me. the new car features book did not say anything about the rear one though.

It's not in production but the front-end grilles do represent the new 2005 grilles very closely. There are more pics of the GXP here:http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/sfautoshow2003Some good shots of the production 2005 Vibe are here:http://gallery.genvibe.com/gallery/chicago2004

It looks kinda dull to me. The photo posted in the first message of this thread looks much better IMO.

I like the 2003/2004 grille better. Maybe if the 2005 grille was on a Shadow Vibe like the GXP, then it would look better. But on a red one, I don't like it.
